Hello,

There are some protestant denominations that relegate the occurance of miracles to Biblical times only. I know that miracles are alive, well, and being performed by the Lord frequently and continuously.

One miracle in my life is that I was diagnosed with terminal leukemia, there was no treatment, but it went into spontaneous remission and is now classified as only a white cell disorder.

So, please tell us about your miracles or the one's you've seen in other people's lives.

In Christ,

How can I not praise Him, He is the reason for my existence and the provider of all things good. I appreciate the feedback I have received but it might be even more helpful if those who replied to this thread also told something about a miracle or miracles that they have experienced either personally or with someone they know.

PreChristians, new believers and even those of us that have been around for a while IMO need to be reminded of God's grace and great works in our lives.

What do you say?

Thanks and God bless.

Just this past week my best friend and her husband, who for 16 years have lived in opposition to each other and grown apart to the point of living separate lives, have come togther again in Christ. Both, who were once so sad and lost, are now experiencing peace and joy. Even those marriages that seem infinitely broken and destroyed can again be renewed and made whole. Glory to Jesus Christ!:)

Love,
Christina

there is no such thing as Christianity without miracles. anything else is "man" only.

my best friend is on disability for a severe back injury, but his back was completely healed.

three years ago, on the very day that my old car's transmission died, my mother brought me a car. she didn't have any idea that my car was messed up. what's really good about that miracle is that i came home from work that day with no idea what was going to happen, just knowing i needed transportation, but i had this sweet assurance inside that everything would be ok - AND IT WAS! and i'm ususally totally tore up if my car ain't working.

but God is doing wonderful things like that all the time, for those with eyes to see it...in my case, it has got to be so "normal" that i don't think as much about it as i should...

hey, i'll tell you a miracle: i no longer drink (alcohol, i mean) Jesus gave me a reason not to!

here's another miracle: i'm happy! i have something to live for, after YEARS of feeling like "why bother?"

and another: i have hope, where i used to have none!

another: i'm learning to love, whereas i used to hate the whole human race (with a passion).

these are the real miracles. walking on water is nice, but having something to live for is the best.

The Lord has healed me of alcohol addiction the day I got saved.

That was a miracle to me that I've experienced.

I've been present to other miracles and stuff but nothing like arms growing or people being raised from the dead... but SURELY I believe... I pray the Lord will help me step outside the box and be bold for Him and be able to lay hands on the sick in His name that HE may be glorified!!!!

Most of the miracles in my life have been through provision.

I came out of the Jehovah's Witnesses because He sent people into my life that I would listen to.

Many times there's been an unexpected check in the mail that supplies a need.

Once, our car overheated and blew a hose on a mountain pass, no cell phone to call for help, miles from the nearest exit. I was in the passenger seat and jolted awake a few seconds before it happened. It seemed like it was a "wake up and watch what I'm going to do for you" moment. There was a loud pop and steam came rolling out of the engine. My husband pulled over and I immediately started with the "help us, Lord" prayers as I watched what was happening.

About a 1/2 mile in front of us was a van with a couple and they started to walk toward us. They had water and a bag full of car hoses. My husband was able to put it all together with a wrench and screwdriver and we were on our way. I asked the couple if they were angels and they said, "no, we just believe that God will bless you when you do good to others" and that they were traveling from Georgia to Arizona.

Now, who travels with a bag of car hoses and gallons of water? I asked that question and they said that they just picked up a bunch of stuff as they felt the Lord leading them.

I think the first time I heard God was a miracle. I had been fasting...and praying repeatedly for a safe flight for my parents. While in prayer, I heard, "You don't have to keep asking, it will be done for you, just believe". It was a voice of authority, a thought that I didn't think. I was in awe and thankful and a little embarrassed that I had repeatedly asked. It was an object lesson in this verse:

Mar 11:24Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

I had a few personal things stand out..Back in 73, just new in my conversion. I was having a group of kids from a youth group I hung with.I cme and the invited them over for volleyball. The day came and the sky was all storm clouds and rain was just starting..One brothe r was there and I said Lord. these our Your kids coming can You change the weather..In a matter of minutes a hole opened above us and the sky and just cleared before our eyes we just stood there in awe...Every time I share this I feel the hair stand on my arms.. We all rejoiced together and has a great time we ended up sunburned rather than drenched....A year or two later we were having a big charasmatic gathering and a bad storm was forcast..I uttered a prayer and in a little sing song I said "Lord take the snow and sent it to Buffalo"(NY)...The day was cloudy and we just got a dusting and had a great meeting..I got home aand turned on the 11 pm newss. The weather guy said for some reason the storm stalled west of us went straight north and dumped the whole storm on guess where, Buffalo, NY. Said it was the worse storm in 10 years..I sorta has an interesting talk with Abba that night..Another story , we had a christian gathering(20,000) that lasted for a few days with camping , worship and teaching..One day we were listening to a speaker and a big misty cloud floated above us in the beautiful clear blue sky.. I and others were watching it.. The mist disappeared and a large cross appeared in the sky(another goose bump story) Son people were pointing up to the sky all around us..We just rejoiced..I actually had a photo of it that turned out.
Another time we were at a meeting a long way away and came home late..The tank went empty and there were no stations around. It just keep running till we got home...I'm thinking we prayed and it came up 1/4 tank but I don't remember..Another time I was snapped in the eye with a towel when we were messing around.. This was PAINFUL..My cousin first reaction was to lay hands on me annd pray..Instantly hte pain stopped and my eye was like nothing happened..Another time I slipped in a clw foot tub when I was at college..I was in pain with cracked or broken ribs..I had no healthcare so I just prayed each night as I wrapped my arms tight to relieve the pain to sleep..On the thrid day I woke with my arm still holding my side..I left go and moved and had no pain..I got up and did all sorts of movements and mno pain..I just rejoiced. We were give a paper to do in Pscy class on the subject of out choice so I did' a report on healing..Needless to say the clas just stared as I gave this oral report.I got and A I think and it produced a good conversation with the Prof..ok I better wrap up before I think of more..Blessings..Kim

I believe in Miracles! However, I was posed a question to which I don't really have an answer for. How come God only cures internal disorders like cancers but Doesn't heal Burn Victims or amputees? Any thoughts there?
So nobody has any thoughts on the Amputees eh?
