Has anyone else ever attended Holy Trinity Antiochian parish in Santa Fe? Hubby and I were there the Sunday after Christmas. Beautiful new temple, Santa Fe style. Very nice priest, Father John. It was so quiet, though! I'm used to a very noisy parish with people moving around a lot, and kids making noise. I don't know if I could take the quiet! ^_^ Hubby liked it - said it was more like his (Anglican Catholic) parish.

The link shows pics of the church, inside and out. (They must have the baptistry covered now, though. I didn't know it was there.)

Though I have never been there, I have had the privilege of meeting Fr. John Bethencourt, who stayed with us while in Ohio for a wedding.
Somewhere out in the world of cyberspace is an incredible photo of a baptism at Holy Trinity that is incredible as the "newly illumined" is truly illumined!
Peace,
Don

I visited there for vespers (twice, I think) when my DH and I were in Santa Fe a couple of years ago. The priest was great, and I absolutely loved the temple. It was elegant in its simplicity. The pics don't do it justice.

I agree that the pics don't do it justice. I also agree that the priest is great. I only spoke to him briefly before the service (I had phoned the evening before to let him know I would be visiting, and he let me know that I was indeed welcome to receive Communion.) But I think you can tell a lot about a priest from his sermons, and he preached a wonderful sermon, in a very loving manner. He seems a very calm and peaceful man, and the parish seemed to reflect that.
