We had a wonderful DL this morning - well over 100 present , and this on a working day - the first after the Christmas and New Year holidays - even the children went back to School today.
Before DL Father, Blessed a new set of white vestments - beautifully embroidered , very nice ones they are.
For the first time we had the Epistle chanted in Ukrainian [ as normal ] then it was repeated [ as normal ] in English - but today it was chanted ! A first for our Parish . Until now all the Readings in English have been read not chanted.

It was the first Christmas service we have celebrated at the new Church. All temples in our town were destroyed during the years of Communist dictatorship.

I'm bummed, I didn't get to go to DL this morning or to the all night vigil because it snowed yesterday morning and we were supposed to get more snow, so instead of risking our family's lives, we just decided to skip the 45 min drive, but CHRIST IS BORN!!!
