I can't stand the dreams that I have about a guy I know. And it could be completely innocent, but in some way I bonded with them, or I was dating them in my dream... but in reality we're just friends or he's dating another friend. Then the next morning you see him... Awkward!

I dreamed that I started dating this girl that I absolutly despised in high school.

Precisely! Thankfully I'm not at job#2 until Saturday and he's usually not there on Saturdays. lol With my luck....he will be. Hopefully by then I'll have forgotten the details.

What was really weird is that he is a dj on another radio station (in the same building where I work for job#2) and I listened to him this morning for nearly his entire show while driving up to Wisconsin. That's the most I've been able to listen since he started working there 3 weeks ago. I think it just reinforced the oddities of the dream. lol

On the topic of dreams... does anyone ever have dreams that are based on what is going on around you (in reality). For example, sometimes I will purposely leave the tv on when I sleep solely because I will have tons of dreams and the dialog on tv actually contributes to the dream.

The other night I fell asleep watching a documentary about the apocalypse and I was dreaming of everything they were describing. It was awesome.

I've had alot of dreams, and I usually remember about 70% of them, especially recently, no kidding. It's really wierd too, it's the type of dream where it's no nightmare but no walk in the park - always like a novel or video game where there's a plot and I'm in the story. I do experience some control in my dreams, like once I even woke myself up from inside my dream because there were "baddies" who were coming to kill me and I realized that it was a dream. But it's interesting, I don't talk much in my dreams, when I start talking in my dreams I tend to start waking up; it's really wierd.

My dreams are the stuff of Dali, Escher, and Giger. They involve a lot of abstract amalgamations of literature, sound, and motion. Jimi Hendrix would see one of my dreams and probably try to remember when it was he dropped acid. For the record, I have never dropped any drugs in my life, so my dreams are not drug-induced.

I do have occasional dreams about women I like. Sometimes they nag me, but I've yet to have an optimistic one come true. I don't know if I'm the one screwing it up, or if the dream was just wishful thinking.

I usually disregard my dreams.

I just had a dream last night that my grandmother died suddenly.

And so she just sort of died and I ran over there and found her on the floor. And the whole family was there.

So I was going to perform last rites on her because I'm pretty familiar with Lutheran litergy. But then I realized that my grandmother was catholic so I let my grandmother perform last rites on herself in Latin. Because she was standing right next to me. And laying on the floor dead.

And the whole time I'm thinking "I didn't know grandma could speak latin." and "Don't Catholics think they need a priest for this kind of stuff?"

In nom de patris, et le files, et le spirtus sancti Amen. :crossrc:

Did you see her the next day, and get creeped out?

Sort of, I was more or less wondering why in my dream I was dating her.

The most awkward thing wasn't even a dream at all. Another girl and I who had a *strained* relationship where paired up in biology class to draw what our child would likely look like. (About genetics) That is awkward. And creepy

I've also had recurring 'nightmares' that I am back with an ex. I hadn't had that nightmare for awhile but I had it last night. ugh!!!! The thing is...in those dreams I am repulsed by him and yet still with him. Weird!

I also had a dream the other night about my cat that died in September. I had a dream that he wasn't dead. It made me really sad when I woke up and realized it was just a dream. I was really attached to that cat.

I think one of the meds I'm on has a side effect about vivid dreams. lol

The only dreams that bug me are the R-rated dreams. I've never done these things, and it makes me feel like I've hurt these women by dreaming of them. I remember one dream where a guy is proclaiming his love for a woman that I cared about. So I sneaked up behind him, intending to kill him because I didn't want him anywhere near her. When I grabbed him, he looked at me and started crying as if to beg me not to hurt him. I snapped his neck like a twig and let his body fall to the floor. No remorse, just wanting to protect her.

For the whole day after that dream, I wondered if I was capable of that. It made me fear myself because I felt that I could possibly be driven to kill, over a woman who doesn't even care that I'm alive.

sometimes i will be dreaming about "using" be it coke or meth or whatever and i will wake up thinking I am "high" and rushing. then I become fully awake and lay there scared and half freajed for a sec and remind myself that its just a dream from my past. its just a dream. just a dream.

then I will pray for His peace so I can return to sleep and thank Him for the deliverance from that past life.

sometimes I have dreams from my military past but thats another topic...

I had this really horrible dream that I died because my lungs were full up with water, :(, but even though I had died I was still a presence and was talking to my family telling them that i didn't want to be dead and that I was worried about going to Hell. Also I was blaming my younger sister for my death because when I was under water in a swimming pool and tried to come up she was pushing me down but then stopped and let me reach the surface. Toward the end of the dream I saw myself in a coffin.

When I woke up I was relieved when I realised it was just a dream.

Wow ! That truly is a nightmare. I couldn't imagine seeing myself lying in a coffin. I hardly ever have a bad dream, but when I do its normally about poisnous snakes. I am terrified of them. I can handle spiders and scorpions all day, but snakes just get to me. I've had way too many close calls with them.

Yeah I always have dreams like that and they are always vivid. I hate snakes too, they just look EVIL! lol

I often dream about people I have never met before... faces I have never seen. That really bugs me because I don't see how this is possible.

I have also had a dream a couple times where one or both of my parents have died. I wake up in a cold sweat and usually crying. I have to go downstairs and make sure that it really didn't happen because it feels so real at the time... I hate that one :(.

Mine always die suddenly, in a car or motorcycle accident. They take long motorcycle trips often and it scares me when they are gone. I don't wanna get that call...

They are only dangerous because either:

A. The driver was not trained sufficiently or
B. Other drivers on the road usually don't pay enough attention to motorcycles or give them near enough room. It's not a bicycle for goodness sake, it has a motor, and needs as much room as a regular automobile.
