All I am going to do is type in my tag and see what happens (I think it is really interesting)

The greatest single cause of Atheism in the world today is Christians who acknowledge Jesus with their lips then walk out the door and deny Him by their lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable. DC Talk "What if I stumble"

I hear what you're saying, but the single biggest cause of atheism is the personal internal rebellion of the individual atheists. They don't believe in God because they choose to deny him, not because he is not revealed all around them. Read Romans 1:10-32 and see the truth about atheists.

Brio!  Wow that brings back memories.  I subscribed to that back when I was a teen (feeling old just thinking that many years back) :p  Sometimes I still don't believe I'm not a teen anymore.

I think DC Talk's quote is right on.  It's about saying something and then having the world see that we're nothing but talk.  As Jesus' parable shows us: If our fruit doesn't match the kind of tree we say we are, chances are we're not that kind of tree.

Another good quote is from The Hidding Place movie where a pastor refuses to take a Jewish baby into hidding because of how it would put his family at risk.  After he leaves the women comment on his selfishness and say "How can that man call himself a Christian?"  Their father answers "A mouse can live in the cookie jar, but that doesn't make him a cookie." :D

Francis Schaeffer (no clue if I spelled his name right) also said something similar, regarding abortion.  He said "If those who claim the name of Christ will not speak out about something so evil as child killing, then the world has the right to ask whether Christ is real."

Definitely food for thought.
