BIBLICAL SALVATION

The first step in a marvelous new life!

Every Person Must Know That...

I. ...HE IS LOST & IS A SINNER.

Romans 3:10 - As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

I John 1:8 - If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

Isaish 64:6 - But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Ecclesiastes 7:20 - For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

Romans 5:12 - Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

II. ...HE IS UNDER THE WRATH OF GOD BECAUSE OF HIS SIN.
THE PRICE OF SIN IS JUDGMENT, WRATH AND HELL.

Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Revelation 20:14 - And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

John 3:36 - He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Romans 1:18 - For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

Ezekiel 18:4b - the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

III. ...HE CANNOT SAVE HIMSELF

Titus 3;5,6 - Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

Romans 3:20 - Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Ephesians 2:8,9 - For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Romans 11:6 - And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

Galatians 2:16 - Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

I John 5:11 - And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

IV. ...ONLY JESUS CHRIST CAN SAVE HIM

Hebrews 2:9 - But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

John 14:6 - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

I Timothy 2:5 - For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Acts 4:12 - Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Hebrews 7:25 - Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Hebrews 10:10 - By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Hebrews 10:19 - Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

I John 1:7 - But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

John 10:9 - I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

John 12:46 - I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.

John 8:24 - I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

John 6:51 - I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

V. ...HE IS SAVED BY FAITH IN JESUS

Acts 16:31 - And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:18 - He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

John 3:36 - He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Galatians 3:26 - For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

John 1:12 - But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Romans 10:9 - That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Romans 3:28 - Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

...this is the witness of God
which he hath testified of his Son.
He that believeth on the Son of God
hath the witness in himself:
he that believeth not God hath made him a liar;
because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

And this is the record,
that God hath given to us eternal life,
and this life is in his Son.

He that hath the Son hath life;
and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

These things have I written unto you
that believe on the name of the Son of God;
that ye may know that ye have eternal life,
and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
I John 5:9b-13

If you have not seen the simplicity in Christ in the above verses by now, I must tell you that you are trying to make your salvation much more difficult than you need to. There are no works such as baptism, church membership, sacraments, walking 'clean', wearing the right clothes, talking the right talk, giving money or thinking clean that will open the door of heaven.
What is involved here is taking the faith and confidence that you have in yourself and giving it up and putting all your faith in Jesus Christ. You need to admit to yourself and to God that you are a sinner, just like the Bible says, and that you can not 'do the job' your way.

You do not need to make a fancy prayer - just talk to God like you would anyone else and tell Him you believe that Jesus Christ died and God raised him from the dead - and ask Him to be your Saviour. (Romans 10:9,10). In order for you to truly believe, you obviously will be repenting of your past sins because you want to rid yourself of those sins - and start your life anew. If so, then God will take you serious and will accept your desire for salvation.

How can we KNOW this is all true?

These things have I written unto you
that believe on the name of the Son of God;
that ye may know that ye have eternal life,
and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
I John 5:13

The Lord Jesus Christ
ALL THIS I DID FOR THEE
I CAME ... because of "your" sin
I DIED ... to pay for "your" sin
I AROSE ... to keep "you" saved eternally

I CAME ... because of "your" sin.
"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: " Romans 3:10

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23

"This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners;" I Timothy 1:15a

I DIED ... to pay for "your" sin.
"But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." Isaiah 53:5

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, heing now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him." Romans 5:8 & 9

"In whom we have redemption through his blood? even the forgiveness of sins:" Colossians 1:14

I AROSE ... to keep "you" saved eternally.
"Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them." Hebrews 7:25

"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand." John 10:27 & 28

"And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son." I John 5:11

YOU MUST REPENT ... admitting you are guilty, that you cannot do "anything" to save or help save yourself, and that you need Jesus Christ.
"I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." Luke 13:3

"Let the wicked forsake his way. and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God. for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord." Isaiah 55:7 & 8

"Not by works of righteousness which we have done. but according to his mercy he saved us," Titus 3:5a

"But to him that worketh not, but believcth on hhn that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness." Romans 4:5

YOU MUST TRUST ... putting your "complete" faith in Jesus Christ to save you.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

"He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God. And being fully persuaded that. what he had promised, he was able also to perform." Romans 4:20 & 21

"To declare, I say at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus." Romans 3:26

"Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law." Romans 3:08.

WHAT IS YOUR DECISION?
I CHOOSE TO TRUST JESUS AS MY SAVIOUR.
"He that believeth on him is not condemned:" John 3: 18a

"For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:10

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13

I CHOOSE TO REJECT JESUS AND KEEP MY WAY.
"... but he that believeth not is condemned already. because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." John 3 :18b

"And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." Revelation 20:15

If you were to die today are you 100% sure you would go to
HEAVEN? Yes___No___?
Please read the following if you answered No
to the question above.
Could you honestly say the following??

Jesus Christ, "I am just as good as you. I have never lusted in my heart; I have never lied; Never cheated; Never stolen anything; Never hated anyone; Never thought a dirty thought. Never said anything wrong; Never lost my temper. I am just as good as you are Jesus. I have never sinned.

Now, if you are truly honest with yourself, you know that somewhere, somehow you have sinned. You know that you could not compare yourself to the Holy Son of God, Jesus Christ.

BECAUSE OF THE ABOVE, THE BIBLE SAYS THAT
YOU ARE SEPARATED FROM GOD.
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" ".your iniquities have separated between you and your God..."

YOU HAVE BROKEN THE LAWS OF GOD
"Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law." "For the wages of sin is death..."

YOU ARE CONDEMNED BY GOD AT THIS MOMENT.
"... he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." "it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:" "The wicked shall be turned into hell..."

BUT JESUS CHRIST LOVES YOU AND DIED FOR YOU.
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY WAY TO HEAVEN.
"Jesus saith., I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

SALVATION IS A FREE GIFT.
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."

NOW THAT YOU HAVE THE TRUTH THE DECISION IS YOURS!

WILL YOU REPENT?
"The Lord is... not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out," Repentance is when a person admits his guilt to God, and sincerely desires in his heart to get right with God.

"...repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ."

WILL YOU TRUST JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOUR?
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Jesus Christ died, was buried and rose again from the dead. He paid for your sins on the cross. That is why He is called the Saviour. You cannot save yourself by good works; baptism, church attendance, sacraments, going to confession; giving money, praying to Mary and the saints, or trying to live a good life. In order to be saved, you must completely put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ.

CAN YOU AFFORD TO WAIT?
The most important decision that you will make in this life will be that of either trusting or rejecting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Don't take a chance! Call on God now! You might not be alive tomorrow!

DEAR FRIEND,
In your own words pray and tell God that you are guilty as a sinner, and that you now believe that Jesus Christ is the Saviour, and that you now want to completely trust Him, and ONLY HIM as your Lord and Saviour.

Your works do not save you...

"If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jeus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto rightiousness, and with the mouth confessions is made untoo salvation.... For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Rom 10 : 9-13

By grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: NOT OF WORKS, lest anyman should boast. Eph2:8-9

For thousands of years men have asked the question, "How can I get to Heaven?" Today the answer may seem more unclear than ever -- a day in which we are taught to shun spirituality, to deny God's very existence, to trade the grace of God for the licentious morality of a New Age.

But there is a clear, precise answer to that question. The Bible says that we can all go to Heaven, and it's not nearly as complicated as some might think.

What exactly does the Bible say about it? The Bible says that we must first understand some things:

Understand that all have done wrong.
The Bible says, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23) This means that all of us have done wrong things ("sinned"). Nobody is innocent and nobody is perfect.

Understand that there is a penalty to pay for our wrong-doing.
According to the Bible, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23) Just as we earn wages when we work for our employer, we also earn a "wage" by sinning ("doing wrong"). That wage is death -- not just the physical death of the body, but an eternity in Hell. Since every human has sinned, and the penalty for that sin is Hell, that means that every human is on his way to Hell.

Understand that Jesus paid our penalty for us.
We owe a penalty for our sin that we cannot pay; however, Jesus paid that penalty for us almost 2,000 years ago when He died for us -- in our place. The Bible says, "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8) Even though we were Hell-bound in our sins, God sent His only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to die for us, to take our punishment for us. As the previous verse says, this is a "gift of God," so it's not something we have earned or could ever earn. The wage we have earned by our sin is Hell; the Gift we can have from God is eternal life in Heaven.

We need to turn from our past life of sin and put our full faith and trust in Jesus Christ for our salvation from Hell. God wants to give us that gift of Salvation -- of eternal life in Heaven. We must only ask and believe, understanding that we are guilty of wrongdoing and that Jesus is our only Salvation.

How can you be saved?

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13). The Bible says that "whosover" -- that means anyone -- can be saved by simply asking Jesus to save them. This means that you, no matter what you past has been, can right now pray to Jesus, asking Him to save you. He has already paid the price for it. He stands, hands outstretched, ready to give you that free gift. Now is a good time to settle it once and for all

To call on the name of the Lord is to ask Almighty God for perfect truth.....the first truth He tells is the whole terrible truth about yourself, judgement , and you cannot disbelieve it, it hits you like a sledgehammer, you either go into denial and have to come back later or fall tp the floor, admit it and repent totally....
plus you find out the damage you did by unlovingness in your life, then starts the long hard slog back towards love again. praying humbly for grace every time you fail, at some stage God may be moved by your efforts or just for His own sake decide that you should receive the spirit in full measure, then you have to go through chastening, trial by 'fire' to the death, suffering unjustly for the sake of perfecting your love.... whilst most others are either persecuting you or failing in the same trial around you

Ed, I think you missed a bit out

No one is offended by you quoting scripture pointlessly. feel free to quote the whole bible, some of us just don't understand why you are doing this. I am saved.
I am not at a Christian website creating a new thread telling everyone they are not saved. You are.
According to Scripture, you are only allowed to judge people in your own church. If your intent in this thread is to say that no one here is saved except you, then I suggest you look in the mirror, repent of your sin of "judging" & stop judging in the future.
The accuser of the brethren is satan, per the Word of God.
It is obvious.

As a matter of fact, it is obvious that this thread was created intentionally by ed to offend people. By reading ed's only comment to his own behavior above. Tell me ed, were you glad & smiling when you thought you finally offended someone?
Is this how you please God ed?
I believe you serve a different master than the rest of us.

How To Know FOR SURE You're Going To Heaven

1. You are a sinner.
Romans 3:23- "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."

2. There is a price on sin.
Romans 6:23a- "For the wages (payment) of sin is death..."

Revelation 20:14- "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death."

3. Jesus Christ paid the price for your sin.
1 Corinthians 15:3b-4- "Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures."

4. Trust Christ as Your Saviour
John 14:6- "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

Acts 16:30, 31- "...Sirs, what must I do to be saved? ...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved..."

We cannot work for our salvation.
The gift of God is absolutely FREE!

Ephesians 2:8, 9- "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."

Titus 3:5- "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us..."

Now, accept Jesus as your ONLY way to Heaven:

Dear Jesus, I know I am a sinner, and because of my sin I'm going to hell. I know you paid the price for my sin, so I'm accepting what you did on the cross as the payment for my sin. In your name I pray, Amen.

I am hoping that no-one is offended by Ed, love is for everyone and we can overlook any act of another person without judgement aand safely leave the matter in God 's hands.
Ed you seem to have made a mistake that many make in thinking that you can somehow 'engineer' faith and salvation.
When we look in our hearts we find the love of God [sometimes hidden beneath much abuse of our being], that is the basis of faith in the witness of Jesus life in the Bible and thus to God ,who jesus showed us through doing love in his life.
It is indeed by grace that we are moved to acknowlegde the love within us and by grace we are forgiven repeatedly as we struggle back toward lovingness in our lives here and now and keep failing because of the damage we did to ourselves through past unlovingness
and it is by grace that we are eventually redeemed to God too, another loving act by our loving God.
Thus it is true that we are saved by grace, BUT it is also true that if that grace does not generate faith in love to start DOING acts of love toward better lovingness in our life, then it is not faith at all, so that faith without works is NO FAITH at all, it is dead

Jam 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
Jam 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
Jam 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
Jam 2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

Jam 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
