As per Flaglady's post we're off probation

Synger created a thread here detailing some of the things that have come up, ie, do we want to keep our membership list, etc.

We'll start threads in the Policy Sub-forum to thrash it all out, but let's all have a think about what we want to see and we can discuss it here to get some sort of order :)

Also, on a personal note, it feels most excellent being off probation :D How the whole forum is gonna be has changed an awful lot, too, in terms of warnings and infractions, etc, so if y'all have any questions about how it'll impact CC, or if you have thoughts or concerns, please feel free to share them here. We can do that now :D

I'm not seeing what the big difference is going to be between being off probation, and being on probation. We have had some pretty thoughtful discussions while we were on probation, along veins similar to what we had prior to the forum going belly-up in controversy. We certainly built some good momentum, I think we should focus on maintaining that. I think our moderators have done a good job keeping things in check, and clearing up any problems before they became too problematic. I think they've done a good job protecting the integrity of this forum. My hat is off to them.

So I guess I'd be disappointed if we did an about-face here and started discussing the issues that landed us on probation. I think there are several avenues available to us, if we utilize them properly, to get any issues which jeopardize the integrity of this forum addressed ... and I would think that we could use them rather than take the route which only hurt us the last time.

Contention is the only thing that can jeopardize this forum. Integrity goes hand in hand with the awareness that others can be content without pleasing everybody else that are not like-minded.

Why can we not actually have the chance to do this without political-socialist relativism?

We live by the gospel, not by political or radical philosophies.

Whose standards of "integrity" must we turn to other than our faith?

Let it be.

:sigh:
