I am fairly new to the study of prophecy. It seems to me like we should keep our eyes on Israel.

Does anybody else keep up with news on the building of the temple?

www.templemountfaithful.org

I find it fascinating. Do you think the building of the Temple will began soon??

God Bless,
Roberta

I lean towards thinking that the Jews will be allowed to rebuild and put into use the third temple. This will come to be about through an agreement with the antichrist. He will then cause the sacrifices to cease 3 1/2 years into the agreement, and will himself go into the temple claiming to be God. Is this what you get out of the study of this topic?

Hello blynn,
I see you have your eyes focused on the right spot. As I read that I was sort of hoping that they would march around it seven times, blow the trumpets and maybe miraclously the Dome of the Rock would Collapse. But I should have known better. LOL.

Actually though, I can't see them rebuilding the temple until after Ezekiel 38 & 39. But , there is no doubt in my mind that, that time is fast approaching, but I also believe the rapture will be before both of these great events. Jerusalem will be trodden underfoot until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. Right now - Jerusalem is a stumblingblock to the world and their plans for peace, but after the rapture the times of the gentiles will finished for sure. And after Ezek. the Jews will take complete control of Jerusalem and the Temple mount too. My deliverer is comin ! ! !

I know that in December there were plans to lay the cornerstone. It was postponed.

It just reminds me of how God is in control of everything. We are on his time schedule.....If things are approaching to fast He slows them down. Going too slow He speeds them up.

I just wanted to share the website. I find it very interesting to watch the events in Israel.

And I do "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem"

God Bless,
Roberta

Hello blynn,
I think they have been planning to lay that cornerstone for years now. I just can't see it happening. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against it. I just don't think I'll see it until I'm in heaven.

After the rapture, I think God will open up ALL the flood gates and the world will finally get a big taste of what they wanted. But I'm also thankful that we serve a merciful God who is slow to wrath. Thanks for pulling that up! !

Understand that the resumption of animal sacrifices is to deny Jesus....

Liafail I really do not understand what you are trying to say :( I am sorry.

I posted this in the light of prophecy....this is the Third Temple that will be built or completed during the tribulation....

God Bless,
Roberta

When the Jews rebuild the temple they are going to resume sacrifices at the temple. A red heifer I believe. Jesus died so that the shedding of blood is no longer necessary for the forgiveness of sin. The antichrist will stop the daily sacrifice, probably because of the outcry of animal rights activists. Just a thought.

The red heifer sacrifice is for the purification of the the temple mount prior to the building of the temple. It is not a sin sacrifice. The red heifer has to meet certain qualifications, which makes one suitable for the purification ceremony extremely rare. Only within the past year or two has Israel produced a heifer which would meet the qualifications.

There are many prophecies concerning the temple. Temple prophecies in Ezekiel are yet to be fulfilled. The floorplans and measurements given by Ezekiel don't match either Solomon's temple or Herod's temple, and certainly don't apply to the human body. And one other point. The bible never tells us that prophecies can only have one fulfillment, actually prophecies can and do have more than one fulfillment.

Prophecies are beautiful and wonderfully complex. They can have an immediate meaning and fullfillment, yet also descibe in a symbolic form events happening over hundreds of years, and still find complete fulfillment in the last days. One of the biggest problems prophecy students have is they'll get one meaning and think they have the complete answer

>>LOL. You mean I will never get the complete answer?

We have all we need for today. God does not always give us the answers for questions we have not asked yet. But for today, and today is the day of salvation, He supplys all we need, and even at times, abundantly above and beyond all we would ask or think. Thanks, JohnR7
