Horizons fuelled grey and fiery red,
Can make sailors delight or dream of dread.

What could there be in a horizon for me,
Is there hope and peace, a place to be free.

Sometimes the shackles of life wear you down,
workloads increase and a smile turns to a frown.

Sleep eludes and days start to blend,
Father can even you this heart mend.

Yes You can I know it is true,
when I look at the horizon's fiery hue.

For storms will come and storms will go,
and the future of days we need not know.

Plans should be made and life we should live,
Kneel in prayer and let the Father forgive.

sometimes the weight does not lift right away,
but give it some time, perhaps another day.

And the presence will come not of man nor things
But the truth of the Spirit in your heart rings.

Grab hold and hold tight to your faith for it true.
It is the Father who is the one who truly loves you.

Hello, John :)

That's a lovely poem. I love the song 'In His Time'.

'He makes all things beautiful in His time.'

God bless you, John. Take care of yourself.:hug::hug:

Today you have given me, what will I do,
when even the smallest step is dangerous without you.
take my hand please Lord as I walk through the hour,
You have said for me, you are the strong tower.
Be my refuge when the pain is heavy,
lift the burden I can no longer carry.
It is written, like you have walked before,
felt the pain from the stripes left sore.
Felt the crown piercing that was designed for pain,
gave all you had with nothing to gain.
With an example like that, with the gift that is free,
how could I not believe it was for me.
So speak softly in my ear, let me know you are there,
pull from me the pain and the fear.
And let me just kneel and pray till I sleep,
And Lord, tucked into your palm, me safely keep.

I relate to this so well. I've seen the Lord take me through the
minutes. Great poem!

I Fall On My Knees

I fall on my knees and praise Your name
From heaven to earth You one day came
Man to save was Your cause
You took our sins You did not pause

Who am I so feeble and small
That for me You gave Your all
Upon the cross You proudly went
Your body tattered Your energy spent

They laughed at You and called You names
Yet for us You died just the same
Three days You laid within a tomb
The earth was filled with grime and gloom

Then hallelujah!! The third day came
And You walked out, victory to claim
I fall on my knees and praise Your name
Your glory to the world I proclaim....

The Touch
Twas battered and scarred, and the auctioneer thought it scarcely worth his while to waste much time on the old violin. But he held it up with a smile:
"What am I biddin' good folks," He cried. "Who'll start the biddin' for me ? A dollar;" then, "two ! Only two ? Two dollars, and who'll make it three ? Three dollars once, three dollars twice; going for three --- " But no.
From the room, far back, a gray-haired man came forward and picked up the bow. Then, wiping the dust from the old violin, and tightening the loose strings, he played a melody pure and sweet as a carolling angel's wings.
There's many a man with life out of tune, who's battered and scarred, and is auctioned cheap to the thoughtless crowd, much like the old violin. A mess of potage, a glass of wine, a game, and he travels on. He is going once, and going twice, he's going and almost gone.
But the Master comes, and the foolish crowd never can quite understand the worth of a soul, and the change that's wrought by the touch of the Master's Hand.
