Seesaw, if you are sincere, then the only thing that makes you different from terrorists is that you're either too lazy or ill-equipped to do something about it. Let's not threaten everyone we don't like with death.

i am not going around killing incest people, all the terrorist should be put in jail forever or put to death.

It hits really close to home for me as well, when I went to Bali I spent a few nights at that very club (before my return to Christianity). Kinda odd to think I had been in that same building, weird to see pictures of it blown to pieces.

As far as terrorists go, as much as it hurts to say it, Jesus commands us to love our enemies, including terrorists. My pastor preached an excellent sermon on this very topic today, and as hard as it is, if we are to be true Christians we are to pray for the terrorists instead of wishing them dead. By wishing harm on them, we are no better than they are.

This is completely dreadful for the Balinese as well. Our media sources are, of course, only reporting the impact on Australians and Australia. Fair enough, but this is going to have a terrible long term impact on the Balinese and on Indonesia in general.

We don't yet know who the perpetrator of this filthy thing is yet, or precisely who their target is, but most likely they are grown from local stock with some beef against westerners. However, their actions, while hurting the west generally in the short term, will hurt Bali to a much greater degree in the long.

This is going to lead to dreadful poverty in Bali, and is going to hurt Indonesia economically. I feel sorry for the Balinese in this.

Cheers,
Prax

Well, if nothing else, this (along with the French oil tanker incident) at least proves that the terrorists aren't just out to kill Americans. Apparently they don't like Frenchmen or Australians either. Hmm, imagine that.

Prax, is that a glass of Foster's Lager you're holding there, mate? ;)

Australia is predominantly white (like western countries), speaks english, Christianity is the most common religion...

That's what matters... not what continent their from. People need to understand that this isn't just about people who hate the US, but peole who just hate

Well, it didn't target US. Because the US consulate is just in near by town, suffered only a minor damage. It targeted at multi-national. At a time when Bush got OK from Congress and now need U.N. approve for the war with Iraq.

If this bombing in Bali was done by Al-Quada, then Al-Quada seemed to help Bush to reach his goal. Push other nations to support Bush in his "War against terror".

But it's not like an Al-Quada attack. In bombings of US embassy in Africa, US Cool vessel, 911, all targets are US government's, or Jewish financial symbol. No foreigners were targetted.

Remember when this administration wanted more power, there was an anthrax attack to push through "Patriot Act". Also remember there were so many information revealed that US government knew 911 attack in advance but allowed it to happen.

JFK's death is still a puzzle since they eliminated Oswald.

Greetings Wolseley!

How's the hair shirt going, Your Grace?

No, not Fosters, I'm glad to say.  I think that if I said that Fosters and cat's urine had the same molecular make-up I wouldn't be too far wrong.  Hideous stuff!  (I hope you don't drink it, having said that!) :)

That, my good fellow, is a pint of Cascade Pale Ale.  Mmmmmm.

Cheers,

Prax

How are Australians westerners? Australia is the easternmost continent in the world.

It all depends on your perspective, I suppose.  Australia is further west that the USA, for example....

Ah, the beauty of a two dimensional mapping system on a three dimensional planet.  :)

"Officials fear final toll may top 119
October 17 2002

The death toll of Australians in the Bali bombing could climb to at least 119, foreign affairs officials fear.

Thirty Australians have been confirmed dead, but foreign affairs officials in Bali today said they held "very serious concerns" for a further 89."

This is terrible news.:(

It's quite itchy, actually. :D

No, not I. On the rare occasions that I actually drink beer, it's usually either Guinness or something dark and German. Under absolutely no conditions do I ever touch our native American beer......brrrr! You want to talk cat urine, that's the stuff. ;)
