I'm regret to inform u that it is bad.

Rom 1:15 So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.
Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Rom 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Rom 1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed [it] unto them.
Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Rom 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified [him] not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Rom 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Rom 1:23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Rom 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Rom 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

FLIRTING WITH FALSE GODS
by
Dr. Joe Allbright

One of the biggest problems that Christians have today is treating lightly the things of the Devil and the influence that those things can have on their lives and the lives of those we love. So often, we are found flirting with false gods.

I. HOW DO WE FLIRT WITH FALSE GODS? By having in our possession, carved images of other gods or any worshipping paraphernalia used by them.

A. Scripture proof: Deuteronomy 7:25-26

II. SEEKING TO PRACTICE THEIR SORCERIES:

A. There are eight banned practices of sorceries. (Deuteronomy 18:9-14)

1. Diviner - the methods are given in Ezekiel 21:21. Three different kinds are mentioned.

(a) Three arrows were used, two with inscription and one without. The arrows would be shaken until one arrow with an inscription would appear and give direction of the way to be taken.

(b) Teraphim were wooden images consulted as idols from which they thought direction was given.

(c) The liver was used in animal sacrifice and was looked upon as the most important part from which direction in what to do could be gained.

2. Observer of times- possibly referring to conjuring or astrology.

3. Enchanter - one who uses omens to cast spells. An omen is a phenomenon or occurrence interpreted as a sign of good or evil to come.

4. Witch- one who makes use of magic formulas or incantations.

5. Charmer- Psalm 58:4,5

6. Consulter of mediums- a person credited with special powers for communicating between the living and the dead. (See #7.)

7 Wizard - a sorcerer, magician, a person who seems to perform magic (often used with #6; Isaiah 8:19).

8. Necromancer - a person who practices necromancy, which is the art of foretelling the future or magically achieving some purpose by communication with the spirit of the dead; black magic.

III. GOD WILL NOT TOLERATE THE VIOLATION: He will punish the violator.

A. Scripture proof: Leviticus 20:6; II Corinthians 2:~0,11; Ephesians 4:26,27; 1 Timothy 4:1,2; I Peter 5:3,9

IV. GOD REQUIRES THE GROUND TO BE TAKEN BACK.

A. Scripture proof: Genesis 35:1-5; II Kings 21-23; II Chronicles 33-35; Acts 19:11-20

Lost and misguided, looking for God in all the wrong places.

"Good" and "bad" only have meaning in context to the moral law given to man by God. God has revealed Himself and his power through nature, but He is not existent IN nature. Since moral law tells us that worshipping the spirits in nature is to divert our love away from God (idolatry), and God's law forbids idolatry, I would be forced to say, "bad."

Yes I've read that article many times and giggled. It's a curious mix of conjecture, opinion, supposition, interpretation, all with a light dusting of factual information. I have to admit it is less inflammatory than many Christian articles and doesn't try to insist that we eat babies, but I wouldn't use it as a factual representation of what we believe.

Actually good or bad, can´t be decided finally. Since everyone uses his own moral codex for judgement, soem will say it´s bad (other religions), some won´t care (mostly those not interested in religion), some will find it good (actually those practicing it or any other similar nature religion). Wether or not it is good or bad, doesn´t matter. as long as the mode of conduct of the adherents of this religion is not violating human rights or reasonable national laws, no one shoudl complain.

Hi all!

While i know very little about Wicca, I've met more than a few Wiccans on various interfaith sites that I belong to & without any doubt, I have found them, as a group, to be the most tolerant, patient and unarrogant people I've met on these sites. No Wiccan has ever witnessed at me. No Wiccan has ever told me that I'm necessarily going to hell because I'm Jewish. No Wiccan has ever patronized me or treated me as anything less than an equal. And some people dare to call them evil merely because their beliefs are different? As my people say, that's real chutzpah!

Be well!

I have noticed that you tend to take your sites on wicca from biased christian writers?

God's Word isn't biased on what it has to say about witchcraft. Each article used scriptural references to state what God's Word has to say regarding the practice of witchcraft.

Wicca, Pro and Con for the Christian(or at least me as a Christian)--

Con- Our God forbids alot of its practices. Therefore for the Christian it is wrong.

Pro- Wicca does not teach any terrible dogma, terrible behavior or antisocial ways of living in society.  In fact, in Wicca's modern form it is quite the opposite.

My conclusion- I personally do not believe that there is any other way to heaven other than Christ. However, people of other religions are entitled to just as much respect for their beliefs as I am to respect for my own.

So long as their religion does not encourage terrible and horrible things, I have no problem with their right to believe it. If they ask me why I believe Christ vs any other, I will rationally tell them the whys and wherefores, in an attempt to share my faith. But in no way do I believe they are terrible human beings for believing contrary to my beliefs.

I will say this about the Pagans/Wiccans that I have met and talk to.  They claim to hold the market on open mindedness and tolerance, and some are very open and tolerant.

However, more than a few are taken totally aback when I tell them that I am a Christian.  In other words they immediately become withdrawn and uneasy, plus if you dig deep enough you find that they actually expect me as a Christian to look down upon them and to be terribly bigoted myself.   This is in my opinion, unfair and very judgmental from a religion that claims to be free of judgement.

Some of the Wiccan people that I know in my social circle readily admit that it took them a long time to warm up to me after finding out that I was a Christian.

I totally understand that. However, I should not be judged by another Christian's misdeeds.

Your thoughts made me think of most martial artists (which I am one, so I translate everything into a martial lesson). It is easy for most practitioners to "talk the talk" when it comes to warrior spirit. But when they are truly confronted, we find out what they are capable of in regards to what they claim to know.
Same thing.   That's cool, you made me stretch out and think.

Thanks Lacmeh,Nice thinking with you.

Good eve.
