We better keep our eyes on this guy. Why would he want to start catering to the Jews?? He is #1 on my list of possible Anti-christ. Anyone should be able to see whats going on here, huh??

Hello Laverne3,
I believe you would be correct on all three counts. He was also born in Rome. I also pulled up an old thread "The Anti-Christ". But you may have to dig pretty deep to find the good stuff.

RT - Do you have any thoughts regarding Bashar Al Assad - President of Syria? I have a friend who has some INTRIGUING insites regarding this man and some pretty legitimate-sounding links between him and unfulfilled prophecies. I could do his studies no justice but he's been very thorough. He even went to the last big prophecy conference (can't remember what it's called) and says he talked with Hal Lindsey and others and presented his findings to them. Nobody he's talked to has found anything questionable or deniable in his study.

I don't know if I'm convinced, but he's 137.5% convinced that Bashar is the one...

Hello Josiah,
Do you mean Assad as being the AC?? No- I wouldn't even think he qualifies. The AC will come from a revived form of the ancient Roman Empire. As of right now, I can only see two possibilities. First is Juan Carlos, and I don't even know if I ever told you my second choice. Well, here goes..... They both have the same last name. Carlos is spanish for Charles, as in Prince Charles. I will see if I can pull up a link on him too. I hope I can find it, very, very interesting as well.

You have to be careful with 'Newspaper theology' and trying to pin the tail on the antichrist. If you know what I mean.

I'm definitely no expert in regards to this, nor have I myself performed in-depth study on this subject. I say that because the information I give is not my own (which is why I said I wasn't necessarily convinced about Bashar). However, the study my friend has done is EXTREMELY meticulous and presents a strong case which, from what I have read and understand, presents reason to belive that the Antichrist will come out of Assyria or modern-day Syria. Like I said, I have not joined any camp in regards to the AC because there is still much that is unclear even after my friend explains his position. Neither are anyone else's claims water-tight or, to me, undoubtably clear.

For instance, the beasts in Daniel's vision have been explained in detail by many people, but it still seems like those who are so convinced about the specific interpretation still do not present sufficient evidence to support their claims. I guess I don't see how it's possible to be so specific about the interpretation unless the Holy Spirit reveals the answers (which is what some claim).

I like the prince charles theory, one reason because it is so surprising and seemingly unlikely. It just kinda fits God's sense of humor to rise up a horsey face brit to be the antichrist... But I understand Daniel 11:21 to refer to the ac and if so would rule out Charles on the basis that the ac is successor to a MALE. Since Charles is next in line of succession to the QUEEN I can't imagine a scenario in which Chuckie could qualify. Now if you wanted to place Charles in verse 20 and rule for a few days and speculate that the ac is one of the young princes we might be able to play out the scenario, especially if you wanted to name Harry as ac since he is out of line of succession and verse 21 states 'they will not give him the honour of the kingdom'. Of course it could be argued that the kingdom being spoken of is not actually Great Britan in which case the line of succession is moot. What I do find significant is the reference in Daniel to the ac in connection with breaking 'the prince of the covenant'. It is my understanding that the peace treaty with israel to be initiated by a ruler other than the ac, which the ac CONFIRMS. I think we might get to witness the actual treaty with israel before the rapture, and if so would be a strong indication that the end is VERY near.

Ok, I did think of a scenario in which Charles could qualify. If he were to give up the throne for Carmilla then he would lose his place in line and upon the death of Queen Elizabeth whoever her successor would be could be a man who only rules for a few days, then dies. Charles has been denied his place as ruler but then manages to talk himself back into power. Kinda farfetched but events start developing along this line it would be an interesting show.

One other thing on Chuckie, has anyone seen the website where his genealogy is traced back to King David?

I receive a Hal Lindsey daily briefing. Today they mentioned the EU was requesting a meeting of Arafat and Isreal in Spain. It is in the Jerusalem Post News article. And you know Juan Carlos is King of Spain.I don't know whether it means anything, I am just passing in on.:) Smile

With all due respect I would take what Hal Lindsey says with a grain of salt. He is into some weird teachings and beliefs these days including the 'bible code' fantasy.

In reply. I don't know about the stuff you are talking about , I have not heard that on the programs I have watched. Butttt I didn't just fall off a turnip truck, I use the KJV Bible and the Strongs concordance to look up things in the Hebrew and the Greek ' so to better understand the Bible. I took the Old Testament in college ( not that I retained a lot) :) Hal Lindsey and Jack Van Impe are pretty close on current events. I don't always agree with everything, but it's a lot better than CNN.:) None of us will be perfect ,however I believe these two are men of God and believe in what they are doing. This is all my opinion and does't count for much.:) Smile

I would beg to differ with you here, and take a stand to defend our brother Hal. Of all the teachers in this field, he has always been more than fair with those who don't share the same beliefs. He weeds through both sides, and always explains why he does or doesn't agree. I also believe you just gave him a bumb rap. He wrote a book called "Apocolypse Code", but this book had nothing to do with the bible codes. It taught about how to unlock the secrets in bible prophecy and understand symbols.

I would also say that the bible codes are in the very least interesting. I haven't studied them yet, but I know my God has no limits. There just may be something to this stuff. If the codes are real, only an Omnipotent (All Knowing) God could pull it off. My God created the End from the Beginning, and He would definately know everything, for nothing is hidden from Him.

And one more point. At the judgment, it won't be only one book that is opened. Rev. 20:12 - And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and the bookS were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. >>>>>>>> So He must know the end from the beginning, and who will be judged, and also what is in those books right now, way ahead of time. My God reigns! His ways are far greater than our ways, and our finite minds can't even come close to understanding the mysteries He holds in His hand. We only know what He reveals. And sometimes we can't even handle that.

I will have to look into it rollinThunder, but I have heard Hank Hanegraaff mention this about Hal Lindsey a few times on the Bible Answer Man broadcast. If it were untrue he wouldn't be saying it on a live broadcast

I would also say that the bible codes are in the very least interesting. I haven't studied them yet, but I know my God has no limits. There just may be something to this stuff. The so-called 'bible codes' these people purport is absolute nonsense. They have no rules to the interpretation of these 'codes' and play fast and loose with the text so that they can make it say anything they want to. Go to CRI's web site and type in "bible code" in the search box and read the article there entitled, "Back to the Future? Does “Bible Code” Offer New Clues to Coming Events?" Here's the CRI link: http://www.equip.org/search/
John MacArthur said that this bible code is blasphemy because it is claiming to do something that God didn't do, and say something God didn't say. I agree.

Hi Laverne3.

I'll answer in the order you asked. :)

1) My screen name is 'Apologist' which means: "one who speaks or writes in defense of someone or something"
In this case it would be biblical defense of what we believe.

2) Hank Hanegraaff is the president of CRI (Christian Research Institute) and the host of the Bible Answer Man program.

3) The Bible Answer Man Broadcast is on the radio daily and you would have to look at local listings for your area as to when it is on. Here in the San Francisco bay area he is on at 3:00-4:00 pm daily on KFAX 1100 am.

God Bless
