He is just another new age teacher. He has nothing to do with Christ. Mikchael, you are only here to mess people up, not help them. You are here to try to lead them away from Christ. And you are not here to learn about Christ. I suggest you peddle your jucnk elsewhere. You insult Christ with your pretend spiritual stance. You are not even worthy to speak to a single Christian here.

way.

Let me reassure you, God has not abandoned you, and is with you every moment of every day. It's most likely that your emotional state is keeping you from enjoying the presesense of God, and your worry is making it that much worse. You are in a catch 22. I've been there.

I strongly urge you to purchase a book called "The Power of Now", but Eckhart Tolle. It's a wonderful book about letting go of your feelings and worries and fears, and will show you how to connect again with God inside yourself. I strongly recommend this book to everyone. I think it will change your life. I would be happy to send you a copy if you'd like, but please do read it.

>>I feel mentally weak. The slightest things are breaking me.

This is the part that's self destructive. The fact you "feel" weak and in dispair is making it hard to see out of darkness. I understand. I've been there too. Stop trying so hard. Know that God loves you, and feel for this inside. When you find it, you will find peace.

>>With my busy life and my future ambitions, I cannot afford this, I HATE htis.

This too is part of what's making this tough. You need to relax and let God. Period. Your relationship with God is *FAR AND AWAY* more important then any ambitions you might have, and you are too busy living in the future rather than the MOMENT. You need to be here now, peacefully.

>> I need to recover BY tommorow, WHAT DO I DO?

How fast can you read that book? :)

I believe in God and Love and neither is "new age". John said in fact that God IS love and that was nearly 2000 years ago, it's hardly "new age".

I do not know how you and I got off on the wrong foot, and I did not come to this forum to argue any point with anyone over anything. If you want to judge me that's you business, but the Christ condemned that behavior.

If you any other complaints about me, please email me and take it outside of this forum, ok?

Agreed, solo66 man.

The following is part of an introduction of the book, "The Power of Now".

Whether in the nondual tradition of Advaita, the Dzog-chen teachings of Tibetan Buddhism, various schools of Zen, or even some of Jesus' teachings (which Tolle often quotes in his book), this nondual approach has been a fundamental part of the spiritual landscape for millennia. ("What is Enlightment" Magazine)

WOW!!! Look, Jesus even gets an honerable mention, (with further qualifiers in parenthasese). :D

Eastern religion and philosophy is all I could discover about this book. Christianity is only mentioned insofar as where it furthers Tolle's ideas. He is definetly not a Christian, nor does he ever profess that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

Hark! ~ do not be deceived.

New Agers mix Scripture into their beliefs. My mother is a New Ager and I see the same thing. They will even quote verbatim verses from the Bible. This is the danger . . . it brings in just enough of Scripture to make them look "credible." Those who don't know any better can easily fall for this false teaching. Satan is the father of lies!

Futuresoldier,

I think we can all understand what you are feeling. Just recently I went through a very turbulent time myself. My whole world was in danger of being thrown into upheavel, so, from that experience, i will give you some of the things that I learned.

First and foremost i would urge you to concentrate not on your feelings, but on what we as children of God know. We know, regardless of how we "feel", that God is with us. He has sent a helper for us in the Holy Spirit. i will relay some verses which greatly helped me.

Phillipians 4:6,7
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus"

Col. 1:13,14
"For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins"

These verses show the peace and assurance we have through Christ. We know these things because it is in His Word. You can stand on these verses.
Another couple of verses I use to help renew my heart and and that help me "feel" more like receiving what God has for me are in the Psalms.

Psalms 51:10,12
"Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. v12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit to sustain me."

Another verse that shows He is sufficient....

II Cor. 12:9
"But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness'....."

This is a spiritual battle you are going through, and the only way to fight a spiritual battle is with God's word. Speak it and meditate on it and his grace, mercy, and power will flow over you.
Remember-----"....the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world." I John 4:4

I think the response here to my sincere effort to reach out to others clearly demonstrates everthing that is wrong with christianity today. For goodess sakes, all I did was suggest a book which has no particular "religious" affiliation about it. It's a self help book for crying out loud. You all should be ashamed of yourselves for turning this thread into some kind of debate. Shame on you.

Solo66 (?) man,
does it not say in the bible......." judge not lest ye be judged"????
I think (as a spirit filled, bible belieiving, Jesus loving Christian) that your harsh words towards Michael only reflect your immaturity in Christ. Sorry, but I say it like it is. Who makes you the ultimate authority on the bible?
It's true I don't of the book Michael recommends (is that the problem?) , but other than that, all I saw was a fellow Christian trying to help someone.
Christians should not attack each other, that'sjust what satan wants. Think about it.

sorry all, I had not read the above post that writes some of that "Book". Definatley not for Christian reading.
Michael, you need to research a book that somes under the guise of "Christian". There are many books and some are meant to destroy the beliefs and convictions of Christians. Before you recommend a book to someone hurting or searching for answers, recommend the GOOD BOOK- BIBLE. The bible is the only book with true and pure anwers.

Who here has actually read this book besides me and is therefor a fit judge of it's content?

We don't have to necessarily read someting to know whether or not it is Christ centered.
I have never read the Koran, but I know it isn't going to guide me in a walk with Christ or help me grow in a relationship with him.
I also haven't read the Satanic bible. Do i need to to know that it isn't going to edify me??
God has given his children a spirit of discernment so that we can judge these things. Not that we judge other people for the people that they are but we can judge actions and writings and such. If it were not so then we would have no guidance, and we definitely have guidance in the Lord.

missrs50,

As Christians, we are to judge what is right.

"These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so." (Acts 17:11)

"Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." (2 Tim 2:15)

Let's not take the 'do not judge' verses out of context.
