Well, considering all the problems Justin has, it is no wonder he has self-esteem problems. I've had those for a long, long time (still do, but to a far far lesser extent), so I see nothing especially malevolent in Justin's behaviour. And putting him on ignore lists will only make those worse. If people were putting me on ignore lists when I needed them, I would've never resolve my issues.
Reading his posts lately, especially over the past few weeks, I see a pattern of attention seeking behavior. First there was the "help I am gay" issue, then it was the attempted suicide, now it is the paganism/buddhism/no longer believe in God thing along with the whole Harry Potter/Dungeons and Dragons thing. I have begun to doubt the honesty of Justins posts. This is sad because I care for Justin as a person and would love to see him be able to get his head screwed back on straight, but am tired of the nonsense.

I would rather believe some 43 year old troll is a teen and have the troll laughing at me from the comfort and security of his mother's basement, than ignore some kid who might need my help. So I'm going to carry on as always. I think Justin is telling the truth, and if he's not, I have lost nothing by continuing to try to help him.

JMO. YMMV.

Not true. You will have lost time and effort that could have been spent more profitably.* Perhaps those of us who doubt Justin and those of us who are willing to believe him ought to spend some time praying about whether or not to respond to him, and go with what one discerns the Lord says. In fact, prayer for Justin might be more helpful than anything you or I or anyone could write. If he is truly troubled, then he need our prayers and God's intervention more than he needs our advice (which seems to fall on deaf ears much of the time). If he is a faker, then he needs our prayers that he repent and stop playing these games, or that he leave TAW folks alone.

* E.g.: Even though it didn't cost us anything to see THE DAVINCI CODE (I had free passes), after we left the theater, my wife and I were both steaming at this total waste of our time (not because it was blasphemous, but because it was so stupid and boring, and the acting (except for Ian McKellen) was so poor). We were wondering: "Where do we go to get those 2-1/2 hours of our lives back?" We felt the same way after watching VAN HELSING on TV. :D

You are right, I do need to pray for Justin even more devoutly than I have been. Thank you for reminding me.

Some of us question if he is who/what he says he is, or if he even knows what he is or what he wants.

Lots of teenagers - maybe the majority - could be described as lacking what I bolded. Totally not fair to criticize him for that.

Is this teaching applicable and compatible with Orthodoxy? I have talked to a fomer TAWer (still Orthodox) that says this. They say that even nuns they have talked to agree, etc.

Is this true?

Hi :)
I think in Christianity in general, it's believed that Christ is the only way to salvation. Other religions can still have truth in them, but knowledge doesn't save us, His sacrifice does. He is the only way to the Father and to life.

God bless.

Only one path leads to God -- repentance. If you do not repent, you will not be deified. That said, God loves everyone with the same love and will treat all people the same in the next life. It is true that "All paths lead to God" -- because he will toss us all in the same river of fire. It is not true that "All paths lead to God" -- because a path of viciousness, sloth, and cruelty will turn the person into a demon rather than a God.

Are there any Christians who will repent? There might be. Are there any non-Christians who will repent? Maybe.

There is no negotiation with God -

it is a narrow path He said somewhere.

People may say whatever they want - God is merciful - and God did not care for the power and prerogatives of His own divinity, but for the sake of all took upon Himself what was created - out of love - and left His divine throne and clothed Himself into ours - into created - came down was incarnated of the Virgin and became man - in all same as us except for sin - and lived and healed and did miracles - and was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate - and died and was buried - and in the third day He rose - according to the Scripture and lived among us for the period and was lifted up and is seated on the power side of the Father - and will come again to judge the living and the dead and His kingdom will never end...

This is the Catholic faith and there is none other - we confess that there is One God - Father, Son and the Holy Spirit and that there is One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church and one baptism for the forgiveness of sins, and that we partake His Body and Blood truly and mystically in the Bread and Wine and that we believe in the Holy Church and her teaching which we received and live by and will pass on to ours - unchanged and Catholic.

There is one way - Jesus Christ - and no other - none other, none true, none real, none straight, none honest, none good, none Catholic - all others are of satan and none other for he is the lier and lied from the start -

Do not play with God -

Many years.

Guys, I think that Justin is for real in terms of his identity. For starters, would anyone really want to pretend to be someone else on an Internet forum for as long as Justin has been here?

And, the things he's going through (dabbling in Buddhism and Paganism etc.) is not all that different, as I understand, from many experiences of other users here on TAW.

If Justin is a fake (like, a posing adult or something), then I'd be very disappointed, because I chat to him on MSN regularly and enjoy our conversations immensely, but, that said, I don't think he's a fake.

Besides, MichaelTheIconographer once said that he knew Justin's address and could easily get his phone number. He could always pay the address a visit and see for himself, or, call the number and ask for Justin. :D

Why would Justin give out his address (and thus his phone number), if there was a chance that someone could go round there (or call the number) and expose Justin as a fake?

Also, why would Justin say this: "Oh, and small world, too, because a TAW member serves at St. Anne." -- on Orthopraxis. Anyone could contact St. Annes and ask if there are any attending that use TAW.

Is AJ, Justin and michaelarchangelos one and the same? Im confused here, why do all three speak privately to each other?
Is that supposed to be a joke, buz? This whole thing is just getting weird.
I just watched INLAND EMPIRE for the second time. I don't know what's real and what's not real, whether Justin is real or fake, or whether I'm real or fake. Justin is probably real. I think I am real, too. David Lynch is probably a genius, or maybe just nuts, or both. All paths don't lead to God, though. Yes, it's weird. God bless everyone. Forgive me.

well, wasnt Justin the one who wrote an OP that hes worried about michealarchangelos fundamentalism. Which he found out about by speaking thru p.m. with him? Now AJ says he chats regularly with Justin, And all ask some strange questions regarding other religions over and over.
Im just wondering, lolol oh well
