I had a philosophy professor once. A girl asked him, "why aren't you a Christian?" His response? "Even if I wanted to become a Christian, I wouldn't know what kind of Christian to be."

But nevermind... Christianity, 'tis a simple thing, fully explained, straight-forward, with clear written instructions, and no conflicting interpretations.

EDIT DISCLAIMER: This post was in no way intended as a knock against Christianity, but rather a commentary on how the divisions and differing interpretations among Christians can befuddle those that view Christianity from the outside. It was also an implicit call to unity directed toward all Christians. If you have any other questions concerning the nature of this post, please PM me. Thank you.

**********

P/N/B/ here: (K.J. version in part & highlighted)
In order for a person to be saved they must HAVE CHRIST, not just a professed 'c'hristianity! Christianity is perfect, you say, NOT hardly.
In order to HAVE CHRIST & CHRISTIANITY? (*TOGETHER) It is CONDITIONAL!
When Christ is [PUT] out, what leader takes over? Read Rev. 3:9! And they still profess 'c'hristianity. Try Gen. 4:6-7 and Cains new [DESIRED] one.

Case in point:
"But the [children of Israel] committed a trepass ... (had they, or were they just [ALL] accountable) and the anger of the Lord [was kindled against the CHILDREN OF ISRAREL]. ... [ISRAEL HATH SINNED], ... *[NEITHER WILL I BE WITH YOU ANYMORE, *EXCEPT YE DESTROY THE ACCURSED FROM AMONG YOU]." Joshua 7:1-14 (in part)
Read Isaiah 59:1-2 "... He [WILL NOT HEAR]." And why? because ... 'your iniquities HAVE SEPERATED YOU AND YOUR GOD, AND YOUR SINS *HAVE HID HIS FACE FROM YOU, THAT *[HE WILL NOT HEAR]."

But us? What do we say? Read the verse in Num. 16:3's last part!!
'Same God yesterday, today and forever', huh? and another verse says that, 'I change not'.

And when we see all of this OPEN FILTH in [professed] 'c'hristianity of today given FREE OPEN RIGHTS in both doctrinal & physical sin, we ARE ACCOUNTABLE, & [WE] will receive God's condemnation if we stay yoked to this Apostasy! Rev. 18:4 is a STATED FACT! {LOST}

And so is any denomination other than what the WORD OF GOD calls Virgin, it is LOST. And also the one yoked to it when in [convicted] knowledge! See John 10:16.

One of us [ARE WRONG] & fall in the catagory of the last few verses of inspiration.
"If any man shall add unto... And if any man shall take away from the words... [God shall] take away his part out of the [book of life]..." Rev. 22:18-19 in part. Regardless of which one that is right, the other one of us are flat out in danger.

The question for [ME] is?
[If] I love my Master, and [If] I love those that He died for, how in the world could I send His 'new born' babes in Christ into the cess pool of OPEN FILTH to be slaughtered??? See Eze., 9 Jer. 15:19. See 1 Peter 4:17 for the Word's Word of, JUDGEMENT MUST BEGIN AT THE HOUSE OF GOD FIRST! -----P/N/B/

What are you talking about?! For once in your posting career, make a sensible message! Why are you ending your statements with question marks?

In my above post that you quoted the first time, I was being sarcastic.   See that clear liquid dripping off the letters?  That's sarcasm juice.

I am curious.  How do you know this?  Where do or did shepherds do such a thing?  Is this something that is still done?  it doesn't seem like it'd be a particularly effective method of training sheep.  Do you know something of sheep husbandry which would explain this?

It's [wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth]. Does humblejoe know how much a Sheep weighs or how far an average man could carry one? Does he have any concept of the probability of survival of an sheep with broken legs? Or why would someone do that when leashing the sheep would be just as affective? I believe Humblejoe has been looking at too many pretty pictures of little baby lambs in the arms of a handsome shepherd in white clothes.

I suspect the reality is much closer to my experience with cattle. If an animal managed to overcome their herding instinct (rare indeed for cattle or sheep) and ended up causing more problems than it was worth, you sold it. Remember that old testament Shepherds were business men, just like today, and they had no problem eating those sheep they "loved".

Humblejoe's anecdote is obviously engineered to prove a point, and has very little basis in reality.

rack of lamb... yummy.

I don't know about anyone here, but me and my office compadres (sp) started to develop our own religion. However, the implementation was soon found lacking when no attractive women were responding to our ads for temple prostitutes. And you can't have a really good religion without temple prostitutes :)

It seems that indeed the times are a changin'

Hey, some Pagans have been looking for all these orgies certain Fundamentalists insist we're having. They haven't found even one yet. Sorry, I guess we don't make good temple prostitutes. :)

Why are all these Pagans contacting Fundamentalists and not fellow Pagans, anyhow? Aren't we more corruptible? Maybe, FP, you should try pretending you're a fundamentalist Christian. All those sexual degenerates out there seem to go for them. ;)

I am sure some of you Pagans would, just gotta give it a try :)

Perhaps pagans are too easily corruptible (if you want to call temple prostitution corrupt, rather than a divinely decreed method of sin cleanup) and therefore are not a challenge to the sexually degenerate. Btw, I take offense to the negative vibe I got with that...

For an conclusion we need a little more than that.

It never happens that way! ALL have the opportunity, yet MOST ALL will reject that opportunity. Read King James in Rom. 2:14-15 for some that will awaken to eternal life & will not even know how they they got there! Yet notice also what is inside of their mind? ---P/N/B/

Pastor, what exactly is your point?
Any other religion than christianity is allowed the same rights and privileges as long as it doesn´t violate any human rights.
Wether or not, the religion in question is the "right" one, no one can answer for sure. Because if we could prove a religion ot be right, then we would only have one :)
I suspect almost every religion claims to be the true one. To actually be the true one, it has to come forth with a littel more than citings from the respective holy book.
