Our culture evolves. their is memory in our dna, but its the kind of memory for our hardware it helps our cells organize into a organism and function (like make our heart beat). dna does not contain memories of past lives and does not control our actions, but it does impose limitations. within those limitations we use culture as a sort of software to run our hardware. Some people have better software, some people have better hardware. some people have nether, some have both. Its culture that determined womens role for the most part.

it is evolution that forced the women to give birth, but its our culture that determines how we deal with this power. Jews, Christians, and Muslims have decided to surpass women for this power (it also might be because god is seen as a man). through cultural shifts, some countries gender roles have become more equal.
