23 Minutes in Hell is an excellent book in my opinion.

The author, Bill Wiese, was taken into hell and experienced the torment, demons, etc. after which Jesus brings him out and back to earth. I sincerely believe this to be his testimony in his experience.

One thing I like alot about the book is the scriptural references he gives, as well as other references. It is worth checking out.

The Last Word and The Word After That By Brian D. Mclaren is really good, it's part of a three part series (The other two mainly focus on other issues besides hell though) but is made to be read easily on it's own as well.
I also recommend A Heretic's Guide to Eternity by Spencer Burke

I too read "23 Minutes in Hell," and I highly recommend it! I was skeptical at first, but as stand4Him said, Bill Wiese backs it up with scriptural references. And what I really like is that he says that, whether you believe his experience or not, is not the most important thing; the most important thing is that the Bible says its a real place, and Jesus mentions it 33 times in Scripture. It is a place you would not want your worst enemy to go to; therefore, every believer should be out warning unbelievers about it, and witnessing for Christ, IN LOVE, every day, as much as possible! There is no task more important! People are dying and going to Hell every day, and there is nothing more horrible or tragic! Followers of Christ should have a burden for souls and a deep compassion for the lost.

Although not a book specifically on Hell, Mark Cahill, in his book "One Thing You Can't Do In Heaven", pp. 81-83, (see http://www.markcahill.org/) says:

"...Darryl told me, "You know, I had a heart attack a couple of months ago." Then he added, "I saw something." You have probably heard about near-death experiences, where some people who briefly died reportedly saw a tunnel and a white light. But many people see other things, and Darryl did not have the typical experience. He told me that when his heart stopped, his spirit rose up out of his body, and he looked down and could see his body on the operating table. He explained that his spirit took off on a journey. Suddenly he saw trees burning, the ground smoldering around the trees, and a lake of fire in front of him. I asked, "What did you see?" "I saw Hell."

"...his story is just one of many I have heard from people who have seen Hell instead of a tunnel and white light. Some have reported seeing people standing in pits of fire, their skin melting off their bodies, then coming back on and melting off again. These stories sound amazing, but our Bible does tell us about a lake of fire for those who experience the second death."
