Is this forum, a space dedicated to discussing G-D, always such a blood bath?
Much of that stemmed from Erwin banning the Jewish and Non-Trinitarian members from posting in MJ. It was fought but we lost and therefore lost even the fellowship of many posters. It used to be a cool open place no matter where on the scale you fell. Any MJ (or Jew) was welcome at all ends of the spectrum. Discussion was vibrant, and teaching/sharing was the main point. The forum then changed to a strong Christian leaning and pushed out heavy Judaic thought. "Icons" were introduced, and rules forcibly kept those of a Judaic leaning quiet. The moderators became heavy handed. That was when myself, and several others left. Some of us have come back, but obviously not to open arms... so whatever.
peace.
It didn't used to be, I have been going back a few years and reminiscing, and brought up a few good threads we were discussing on, go take a look, we weren't all that bad.
it is isnt it?Its up to you all now Erwin said soMuch of that stemmed from Erwin banning the Jewish and Non-Trinitarian members from posting in MJ. It was fought but we lost and therefore lost even the fellowship of many posters.
I wish Erwin would make up his mind on what he wants.
you are a precious newbee Mat I hope we dont scare you offI wonder if I were to remove my icon is that then less offensive to more people? I am so very uncomfortable with disputes and debates that I never really know where I can say much of anything in the forum. I learn so much here and read a lot. Sometimes the arguing feels awkward but truly it is not mine to comment on. I am blessed to be here all the same.
shalom,
mat

Keep mindful that the forum is not essentially about teaching other religions other than the Christian one.
All are welcome, but don't be surprised if you bring up a controversial or provocative post and you get a less than friendly response.
This goes for all of us.
It's like going to a loud busy bazaar or market in the middleeast with a few seekers of Truth and trying to talk openly with them and with the passersby/listeners-in participating - most of the crowd is. . . . well, does it matter ? (just realize that most of the crowd is not obedient no matter what name/label they carry)Is this forum, a space dedicated to discussing G-D, always such a blood bath?
Everyone, please excuse Contra, he is anglican and does not speak for the messianic faith. No, it isn't. Perhaps we (including yourself) should all take note of the topics, nature and tone of our posts.

I thought that since this was a Messianic Jewish forum, it would be ok to discuss Judaism. My apologies then, I will refrain from teaching anything that has to do with Judaism from now on. The last thing I mean is to offend you in any way.
