Apex,

Maybe denying you guys was the bone Erwin tossed to the conservatives who are exiting.

If so I don't think it will be effective.

People of the Book better have a lot of mods.
The only teams that could take it would be Outreach or Debate. Outreach has maybe 4 staff members, so I've asked Debate. They're low on staff ATM, but I think they would be able to handle it.

If they can Condi Rice would like their resumes.

There's a book called Faith Club which gives suggestions about how to run an interfaith dialogue group. It's written by a Christian, Jewish, and Muslim woman who held such dialogues, and even for laid-back, fairly liberal-minded people that they all were, it got emotional and dicey at times.

It might be worth getting moderators and posters familiar with such resources and laying out rather tight ground-rules for the interfaith dialogues forum.

ETA: here's a link to their site: http://www.thefaithclub.com/index.html

If so that would be sad. Compromising to appease bigotry is not a good thing. If this is done within a religious framework all the worse.

Compromise to appease false gospels is no better, it's worse (Gal 1:8).
Hang around the winds shift from time to time.

I went forward with the forum organization that you, the members, came up with.

 ...we did? I thought that Erwin just announced he was making changes and then did it...unless you're speaking of some other changes, in which case I'm totally confused.

That forum arrangement was decided by the members through the Wiki.

Sorry, no. The discussion had been halted, not decided. The wiki on rearranging the forums was closed for a week, and you made the changes before it was re-opened and when it was still clear there was no consensus.
