Matthew - Verse by Verse

Matthew 27:58 This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be given to him.

Matthew 27: 61 And Mary of Magdala and the other Mary kept sitting there opposite the tomb.

Mt 17:63 - and said, "Sir, we remember that while this deceiver was still alive, He said, 'After three days I will rise again.'

Mt 17:64 - Therefore give orders that the tomb be made secure until the third day. Otherwise, His disciples may come, steal Him, and tell the people, "He has been raised from the dead.' Then the last deception will be worse than the first."

Mt 17:65 - "You have a guard of soldiers," Pilate told them. "Go and make it as secure as you know how."

Matthew 28:2 And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and sat on it.



It seems the scriptures have been right, but the chapter numbers are off by one digit in the ten's place. (Should be 27, not 17.)

Matthew 28:4 The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.
