I'm still hoping for a response form the ultra-fundementalist lobby as to exactly why Jesus' command to sell everything and give to the poor and needy is not to be taken literally! Personally, I tend towards the gloss offered by Malcolm (Loser) in post 10 above - but then everyone knows I'm an unreliable anti-Bible subversive!?!
