No matter what you do you are not going to be any better than "anyone" else.

But if you want to see more of God in your life, then start doing the things he said to do. Pray, church, fasting, reading, help the poor, pay your tithes, make your closest friends believers, stop spending so much time with non believers.

The more areas that you give to God, the more he can direct your path to more fruit in your life. This will not make you any more righteous than you already are.

The more I do these things (pray, church, fasting, reading, helping the poor, tithe...) will God love me more?

Will He love me less if I do not?

Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me." Matthew 19:21

Jesus was telling a rich man who wanted to know how to get to heaven. Jesus asked him if he obeyed all of the laws, he said yes, then he told him to give everything he had to the poor....

I think you'll need to ask God this question to get the best possible answer.

Do you live your life in a way that you think reflects the joy God promises us? Do people who know you see you as a source of comfort in times of trial?

Ask yourself this: If a kid who knew you had been kicked out of his parents' house, and was not yet ready to talk about why, do you think he'd feel safe coming to you to ask for shelter and comfort? Would he find them?

Loser is correct. There is a point.

Grace is the point.

We, I can do NOTHING to win God's favor, and love! No amount of tithe, bible, prayer can get you in a place in heaven, or more acceptance from God.

Eph 2:8-9
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
KJV
Isn't that great news! We in our sinful nature and fallen state do not try to appease God.
The work that Jesus did on the cross was enough to God see us as co-heirs in Jesus.

Droppn' some knowledge in the spirit on ya

Peace- EJO
