• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

It's an emotional roller coaster.

My Dad's condition has worsened. My Mom is burning out BIG time.

My Nolan's Grad is tomorrow...Dad of course can't make it, he doesnt want Mom to go. Nolan's Aunie won't be able to attend which breaks his heart.

I left work early today due to the fact I couldn't stop myself from crying.

Yeah, I've had better moments.

feeling low.

I just got my period and my low started rearing it's ugly head about a week ago. Does pms trigger depressive episodes? Does anyone here experience this too?

I'm new here so hi everyone.

Welcome to our thread WonderWoman!

Hope you feel at 'home' here. All these folks are special.

Yes...pms does trigger depressive episodes :sigh: And I have experienced them every time the period came.

If you want to know more about my experiences with that...just pm me, I'd be glad to share.

Wendy :)

Thanx Wendy for welcoming me.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with this problem. I've been noticing this yr. that I get depressed right before menstruation. I wonder why? I mean, how do the hormonal fluctuations effect serotonin etc........? I wonder if there have been any studies on this.

You're welcome :D I just want others to feel the support and exceptance I was blessed with when i joined a year ago.

There are different 'stages' leading up to the 'full fledge' period. We all have these 'symptoms' at different times during this processl

I know they will have somewhat of a study on this... I will just have to find where it is.

Make yourself at home here!
