IT’S FINISHED, NO MORE TIME TO QUARRELL

by Kevin Hussey

Ephesians

Christ Has Made Peace

Can peace be created is the first question that should be asked. Well if you look at it from an earthly view then peace is available but not lasting. Men talk and talk of peace and sometimes it happens, but somewhere along the way of history that agreement is broken. So I want to look at the difference between the peace that God wants and the peace that the world talks of.

God’s peace: is different from that of the world in many ways;

1. Between individuals, harmony and concord.

2. Security, safety, prosperity.

3. It produces a way of peace. (Not just for a moment)

4. Not fearing anything and being content with what we have here on earth.

5. Its for everyone, there are no exceptions.

Man’s peace:

1. There tends to be one who does not agree, but just accepts.

2. Security, is only temporal, safety can easily be breached. And others

Benefit from the terms.

3. Peace is generally only for a limited time. Once all the agreements are

Completed then it usually ends up in a worse predicament.

4. There is always an element of fear in the process, because people are

Never content with their lot.

5. Most of the time the decision for peace is made by one group of people,

To, the detriment of others.

This word peace (I-ray’-nay) occurs 92 times in the Bible. For those with a Strong’s concordance it is no. 1515.

Peace is not about a policy it’s about a way of live. The problem is that we have been so accustomed to what we think is peace that we have put conditions on it. What I mean by this is that we are all happy to let others talk for us and not to be active in peace. The term most used today is it’s all right for me and it does not harm anyone else. Well that is one of the biggest lies that has ever come from the devil. Every act that we do affects someone. Our thinking has become so governed by our individual rights that we no longer see the society as important to relate to, unless there is a major incident that captures the worlds attention. Is this not a sad way to live in that we only see our faults when it cost something to others and we then realise the hurt. Jesus had a different way and I for one am glad that I have been saved. With Him there are no boundaries of who is not acceptable, for God loves us all. He only desires the best for you and me. That’s why we should live in peace with each other.

The first part of seeing peace from God’s perspective is to have a relationship with Him. To give Him authority over your live. For it is only when we start to live the Kingdom way of living that we will really understand true peace. In Romans 14:17-20 it says ;

Romans 14:17-20

“for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men. Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another. Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All things indeed are pure, but it is evil for the man who eats with offence”.

Notice how it says to make peace, it’s when we pursue the things that make peace and edify others. We produce a environment of joy and happiness into the lives of those around us. It’s our job to share this message to the world.

CHRIST IS THE WAY

Let the anointing take control of you, and you will find that things will happen. I have found that we all think too much of what the devil is capable of and too little of the incredible truth of Christ in us.

So by making Christ the cornerstone of your live you can see that things can really change for the better. We can not achieve anything on our own and we are only going to achieve real results when we accept the good news of Jesus and come into a living relationship with Him.

Ask God today to help you come to a relationship with Him. Or if you want to be able to live as described above. Then lets pray and make a difference to the world around.
