Cry out to God with your voice

Most of my prayers are said silently, in my "prayer closet". But I have had many times in my life when I have cried out to Jesus with a loud voice.

I was listening to a sermon tonight, by Charles Stanley, about this very subject. He gave some scriptures that tell of crying out in prayer to God.

If you are facing a desperate or emergency situation, or you feel the need to pray a powerful prayer, then pray out loud with your voice. Cry out loud to Jesus, with your voice.

But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
Matthew 14:30-31

Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
Psalms 27:7

Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle.
Psalms 28:2

I cried unto the LORD with my voice; with my voice unto the LORD did I make my supplication.
Psalms 142:1

Amen! I think that we as Christians are all now in a time of special need for the power and anointing of The Holy Spirit. I believe it is now time that Christians all over lift their voices and CRY out to God for His love and mercy and healing and saving grace on a world that needs Jesus as never before in history. Thank you for posting this reminder, and may we all be inspired to action in our prayer life.

Awesome stuff! I had a few times when i was crying and i silently screamed out to God for help. As alaways, comfort comes quickly from Him.

Amen. I, too, often pray silently. However, i always have those times when i just call out to God with a loud voice. And as sharky said, comfort comes and i really feel the presence of God about me, and it is such a wonderful feeling.

Auntie, this is an excellent posting, I appreciate the scriptures too. Many times people say God is not deaf and we do not have to raise our voices

When my daughter was dying before my eyes. God had earlier put in place the means for me to save her.
I called out to God and at the time I didn't consider myself a theist.
