Once someone was joking with me about how he was going to find out my secrets and make me pay him money to keep from telling on me. I told him I did not have any secrets, but he had a hard time believing that. When we walk in the light, somehow it seems to shine on ever area of our life and I have not been able to find anywhere to hide anything. Because I really don't want any darkness in me.

Is there anyone here that has a secret? If so, how do you manage to keep it hidden? Esp. when the Bible says all things shall be known.

(I was curious as to which one you had in mind.))

John 3:19-21
"And this is the judgment, that the light is come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their deeds were evil. [20] "For everyone who does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. [21] "But he who practices the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God."

Well, now that I've thought about it some....there really is no such thing as a "secret."

I have a secret. But God knows what I'm thinking about. So there's someone else who knows what I'm thinking about...so it can't really be a secret anymore, can it?

Also, a majority of the stuff people say is a "secret" they've told at least 1 other person about it. Using my secret again, I've told a small group. Not that they'd blab to the whole world about it...but it's still a group of people who know something about me.

I don't think there's anything about me that only I know. God knows everything...obviously...so it's not too much of a secret then, is it? ;)

((I think we all probably have secrets that we keep from other people. ))

In some cases it is better for people to bridle their tongue if it is going to involve gossip, slander or in someway be harmful to others.

James 3:8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

1 Peter 3:10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:

The only secrets I've got are the ones about stuff that nobody has bothered to ask about. I'm not gonna volnteer the information but if somebody gonna ask me something, I'll tell them unless the Lord says not to. I mean I'm not gonna tell my life story to everybody, expecially if they don't ask. I figure if anything I've gone through or done in life will help somebody else, I'll be glad to tell. Oh, that reminds me there is something that I've got to tell my mom about, she knows everything there is to know about me, besides if I don't tell her everything, the Lord will. I tell ya that woman knows everything about me in advance, she got a direct line to God. I'll tell one thing though it sure helps when I think I need to tell her something and me knowing that she already knows, helps me get it out a lot quicker. Lord sure knew what he was doing when he gave me to my momma. :) Sorry there if I got off the subject :sorry: That just goes to show ya, once I try to answer one thing I get started on another and could go for days. Next thing I'll know I'll be spilling my guts to everbody, so I'll go now. :p :D

In Christ,
Anna

I have a secret. It's not a sinful one. It's also not one that anyone else would be interested in if I was to share it with them. I'd thought about writing about it but I don't know how to write about it so that anyone would think it's interesting. So, it's just mine for now.

Mark 4:22  For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.

I am learning to be very careful, because there were some things I thought I could keep hidden and then before I knew it, they were right out there for everyone to see.

For me it is really better to live my life in a way that there is nothing that I do not want people to know about. That does not mean I go around telling people every little thing. It just means that I try not to have anything in my life that I would be ashamed of, if people were to find out about it.

There are different types of secrets. Gods Word teaches that some things are better done in secret. As far as things such as sins in my past are concerned. If someone wants to dig them up and try to use them against me they can be my guest, God has forgiven me for those things and that's all the matters to me.
