I overslept !!!

My BUS to Manchester departed at 11.25 am
BUT WITHOUT ME

I had awoken at 08.30 am
and promptly began thinking of the the journey
and, 'our meeting' at the bus station (in Manchester)
followed-by, the bus-ride to her home

AND THEN (?) ____
I was awake ___again
and the time is 11.57 am

HOW ? WHAT HAPPENED ? HOW COULD I ?

I phoned Mary who, had been advised
of my travelling schedule
who, then asked: " are you still at-home " ? "......
.....................................................................""
^-^ explanations ^-^

So! we have NOW
re-scheduled that 'schedule' and I will now catch
a later bus at 15.45 pm today and will-arrive in
Manchester at 21.30 pm this evening

I will (all things 'going to-plan' ?)
also return LATER! (three nights _instead of two)
Catching the 07.15 am bus from Manchester (Monday) arriving in Bristol around 13.00 pm

YES! I am really _ 'A W A K E' __N O W !

As I lay there at 08.30am (?) I could see her face (?) hear her talking to me (?)
I could hug and cuddle her


and then

WHAT HAVE I DONE ?
I 'got-wrapped' with her-image
and was 'happy'
until I reached the 'consequence'

No! I won't fall asleep again today :o NO - WAY!!!

Haven't met you before

Welcome to Golden Eagles young lady

HOORAH !!!! I made it to my Mary's hometown

She was waiting on the sidewalk outside the busstation
as we drew up outside
We were chatting via mobiles
and as I told her that she was looking in the wrong direction to see me on the bus (coach)
the passengers on my side of the bus began banging on the windows
and shouting "THIS WAY MARY! HERE HE IS! "
one of her sons had brought her down to 'pick-me-up'

aww such nice folks!

Mary did me some potato fries meat pie and peas
for supper as soon as we got indoors
she is of-course well 'up' (chuffed)
that I have been able to make my trip happen

I understand it is going to turn-out-FINE this-weekend

(the weather !)

(of-course) and whilst I was out 'shopping' with her
we chanced upon several of Mary's friends
whom asked if I were the ONE
that had caused her, to look so bright and cheerful lately

listening to my praises 'being sung'
there, in front of me.........

Will be booking my taxi shortly
to take me to Manchester bus station early tomorrow-morning
My bus leaves the station at 07.15 hrs (GMT)
and arrives in Bristol bus-station at 13.00 hrs (GMT)

Its been a lovely couple of days, over-which
I have been meeting family, friends and neighbours
Tonight, we will visit another son and his family
for DINNER

I am in all ways
made to feel really 'special' to this Lady
A unique experience to this 'my person'

I have up and coming, an appointment
at the breast clinic in oncology, to obtain an
updated prognosis and decision on
ongoing treatment of the tumour
that I have in my left breast (on 17th this-month)
I take Danacol (total 200mg per day)
that appears to have side-effects that are
(a-little) disconcerting NOT! to say; worrying
as I have given up all 'past CONCERNS
about where this 'could' take-me
The day-following,
I have a senior officer of Bristol City Council
coming to visit me to assess my entitlement-to
ADAPTED council housing, following the recently
published results of my latest hospital exam
in Surgery Clinic (same-hospital)
As I mentioned elsewhere I have an artery
in my right leg that could not be unblocked
during an angioplasty procedure (last October)
and, during an exam (to determine: next moves)
an ultrasound ascultation discovered a weak pulse
in my right-ankle, whereafter it was decided
that I was growing new, arterial wall.
ie: That my body, was trying to bypass the blockage
and it was determined (then)to see how this
has proceeded >in twelve months time
(no amputation YET) Praise the Lord!

The tumour is virtually undetectable 'now'
save-for, a little 'thickening' below my aureole
and is also, approximately the same-diameter
as the aureole above it

The future, looks bright and rosey from all-angles
and present-days are 'wonderfully blessed'
with happiness and immense satisfaction

My relationship with Mary, survives
'my sexual impotence'
which is doubtless, a side-effect of my 'chemo'

We Mary and I,
are, in so many respects, so VERY COMPATIBLE Thank you Lord!

It is therefore WRONG
to encourage persons to imbibe harmful liquids
where coffee in solution contains more solid material

I overslept again today!!!



What happened?

As the coach approached the outskirts of Bristol
(YESTERDAY)
I was reminded (by internal urging)
of my need to pass-water URGENTLY

I had spent the journey, on a window seat
with a young man ( of @ 17 years)
(sat opposite his older sister) in the aisle seat

I had gritted teeth and concentrated MUSCLE-POWER
to my sphincters as the bus made changes of direction
in the now smaller streets and <<<<

as soon as door was open I was off!
to the station toilets....
as I came out again I could-see
the area around the front of the bus
that I had arrived-on was NOW 'clear' of people
and anxiety for my knapsack
climbed a little inside-me

I raced at a breakneck hobble
to get back to the gate at the far end of the concourse
that was in front my bus/ coach...........
and there, leaning against the front wheel
was my white PVC Knapsack
My tummy feels like it's been trampled
by stampeding horses from ny JOGGING
the whole-length of the bus-station...
That I could THEN! only think of the inconvenience
to disabled passengers where, my urgency,
had-meant I could not await the opening of the
coach's external luggage compartments to, secure my
luggage but, had had to take myself elsewhere FIRST!

I then left the station in a sorry state
my legs had virtually 'dropped-off'
my heart was palpitating from the haste of my transit
through the station to and from the lavatory facilities
I found a tubular rail (outside)
at a height whereby I could sit /lean on it
with legs spread for more than five minutes
and felt I could stand and walk to the taxi
standing, just twenty feet away

I FELL into the taxi and belted myself in
for the 27 minutes journey home

The Driver stated that there was a £2 surcharge today
as it was a Bank Holiday --- "ok take me home!"

I hadnt been to bed (night before) Mary and I
had 'house-sat' at her son Andrew's house
whilst he and partner had a few hour's 'OUT'
for a meal and drinks
We were taken home in the Taxi that they had used
to return home in
At 01.30 hrs am and with my Taxi to the Busstation
expected at 06.30 hrs am First, Mary had a cat-nap
then I too had an hour and a half with my eyes closed

NOW, at-home again here in Bristol
the after-effects
of my exertions ARE
'small-price to-pay'
for the pleasures enjoyed > OUT OF TOWN <

We have plans to meet again (similar trip) in two-weeks ?
as Mary has-agreed to look after someone's dog
whilst they 'go-away' for a week and cannot therefore
come down to me that week.....
awww the quicker I can move me up-there, the better 'all-round'

My son 'David' SAT my flat, whilst I was away
and doubtless he'll return to his flat later-today

I have already
discussed the up and coming trip with him
and, as this FITS-IN
with his own plans and commitments
he said a provisional YES!
