As a rule, I have major problems with a single world authority figure besides myself or Jesus. I can trust in my competence, and anyone else who's shown themselves to me to be decent enough I would take on as advisors, and expect them to depose of me if necessary.

Personally I'm in favor of limited gun control. If you want to keep a shotgun or handgun for home defense, kudos. If you want to keep a few shotguns or rifles for hunting, fine, but get a liscense and have them registered. More than that and I fail to see the need

Well, to me--"Gun control means hitting your target".
But taking away peoples firearms (a tool which is used to defend oneself and others, not to mention sports), is wrong. That is the kind of "Gun-Control" I dissagree with.

I was just playing devil's advocate, you know stir the pot a little bit. But I believe Abbadon said it rather well.
There are people out there who rob, rape, and steal. I would rather not be their victim. I would rather be able to protect those who are molested by such perps than to be able to do nothing. Is it wrong to want to defend people from evil doers?

Of course not. It's just that the probability of actually shooting an intruder/burglar/rapist is really not that great, when compared to the probability of accidents, suicides or heated arguments that end in manslaughter.
