I really think it is sad that a person would have a pet and expect someone else to take care of it! I had a neighbor that was not feeding thier dog..I fed him for about a week and then decided to talk to them about it!If they did not start to feed him I was going to call Humane society and see waht could be done...well they are taking care of him now!I wrote this person a nice pm and told him or her that if they were not able to come online or take care of the pet maybe would be in the interest of the pet to put him up for adoption. I have never heard back from this person!To me this pet has been abandoned...its a shame that if a owner is not able to care for the pet that someone who really wants a pet could adopt him!I know it is our job to look after the pets..but what about the owners???I am thinking maybe I am not right for this job feeling like this...maybe I should just do as i did before and feed the pets as I used to do on my own????

May I point out the good points you have in your favor and the pets.

You can feed the pet and play with the pet and give it all the TLC it needs.

We have pets on our team that we can not feed or play with we have to see them die unless someone on the outside sees that pet and feeds it.

We are the Humane Society and we both know there are many pets that never get adopted so what a joy it would be if those pets could be sent to a TLC Abandoned community where they would be really special and have all thier needs met.

You are in the right place because you care so much. Please don't let the actions of one person cause you to leave. It is clear that person has problems and we don't know what they are. Continue to be kind to the person thank them for allowing them to let you help care for theri pet. It will all work out for the best. I have been where you are and most of us down here in pets have been where you are but you will move past that point and each time you do the right thing you will find the next hurddle easier to work with. The pain and sadness will not get easier but the willingness to make the best of the situation will become easier and more forgiveness for the person causing the problem.

Will be needing pet workers to check on a few extra pets for atleast two weeks and maybe longer.

If you could take 5 or more please let me know. If you take pets and find you have taken on too many you can give them up. No ones should feel like they have to do this. If you have any question about your time please don't try to do this. All of you are doing a great job and I want you to continue doing what you enjoy and are able to do without being stressed.

Remember now you will be taking on new pets of your own so that will be added stress for a few days until you get to know your new pets and know what to expect from them. You know bringing new pets home is like bringing a new baby home. Everything that can go wrong will and it will never happen at a good time. So think about it and let me know if you can help.

Brinny has already said she want more pets. I will start a post so we can see what is going on and make it available to both teams Faith and Hope.
