My Little One is Sick

Been throwing up--now dry heaving--since dinner.

Prayers would be appreciated for Hope (Elizabeth). Y'all know of any services for the sick? I think the Akathist to the Theotokos is used a lot, right?

My two have RSV, so I know what you're saying. It's hard to watch your child suffer. I'll pray for yours, please pray for mine. And I think the Akathist is a good one.

Does she have a fever? If she does, in conjunction with the heaving, I might be calling the doc.

Peppermint tea is great for calming little stomachs.

And a drop of the aromatic peppermint oil on the tongue can stop nausea attacks, but you must get the purest oil available.

Thanks, y'all.

We went to the dr. today after school (my mother graciously took off work and stayed with Hope), and it's pretty much just been diagnosed as a stomach bug. So, lots of fluids (which she's keeping down now, thank God) for about a day, then start in on starchy stuff.

I recommend washing pukey clothes with warm water even if they're "cold water wash." Otherwise, the smell (and sometimes even the puke) won't come out.
