I will pray for you. I know sometimes like everything is going bad. But sometimes God does things we don't understand and sometimes will never understand. Maybe God allowed this so that you may help others with suffering from the same things. I try to always remind myself that God takes me through things so that I may help others and anything I've been through doesn't compare to what others are going through. I actually praise God for everything that I've been through (sometimes it has been right down ugly). I'm one of those people who does not regret anything that I've been through, I don't know why sometimes I went through what I did but I thank God for it. Because I truly thank God for it, for without it I wouldn't have learned the lessons that I have learned. Praise God for lessons because it only served to bring me closer to God and for that I am thankful  Anyways here is a special hug for you  .

Love in Christ,
Anna

Thankyou :)

I know God has a plan for my life, but sometimes I don't understand why I have all these problems. I also think it may be because the experience will allow me to help others who suffer like me, but it's hard actually believing this when things get really bad.

One of my problems with OCD was I'd have to say exactly the same prayer every day and night, but I'd think I said the prayer wrong, or I didn't really mean it, so I would have to say the prayer, or part of it, again and again, this process lasted for hours. I was afraid if I said my prayer wrong God would not answer it and something bad would happen, but after reading scripture I came to the conclusion that repeating my prayers was meaningless, so now I say the Lord's prayer, not worrying as much about something bad happening, as long as "God's will be done".

Although, the OCD is still there as I have to say "Amen" over and over until it sounds right, but it doesn't last for hours, and I also have to check if I locked the door properly over and over.

I Know, I have such a hard time having faith when things are bad, but that is how God builds our faith, he allows things to happen so we will grow closer to him and depend on him for everything especially in the bad times. He uses bad times to show us what a mighty God he is. I know there are many times when he has saved my life. I will be eternaly grateful and when your hard times are over you will be even closer to him so close you will be so amazed by his power. Just know that he loves you so much. And when bad times are here I like to think of the footprints in the sand poem. When we look down and see only one set of footprints remember that is when he is carrying you in his loving arms. Have Faith it won't be like this forever, just think when we go to be with the Lord we will never again experience bad again it will be only good, this is his promise to us.

Love in Christ,
Anna

wblastyn,

I think I have a touch of that OCD. I'm not as bad about it as I used to be. I notice that it gets worse when I'm under a lot of stress. But I always tell myself that it is because of the stress. I used to feel like I had to unplug everything before I left the house, coz I was afraid something would short out and catch the house on fire. A few times, I would have to drive back home because I couldn't be sure that I had turned the stove off, or the iron off. I would worry myself into a tizzie!

I got out of that behavior by learning to trust God with everything.

And now if I think I'm having some OCD behavior, I pray to God about it and tell Him that I trust Him to take care of everything. It is the obsessive thoughts that causes the compulsive behavior. Give those obsessive thoughts to God, lay them at the foot of the Cross and walk away. It is a form of bondage, and Christ died that we would be free from bondage.
