Some people who evangelize say that they were under demonic attack. But every heckler who questions you can't be 'demofied'.

How can you tell if if what you're experiencing while you're witnessing or evangelizing is a demonic attack, and not just someone being a jerk?

Any one who is not saved is a child of satan (that is what the bible says).
The voice you here that encourages you or discourages should be tested whether it is from God.

The enemy will use everyone to stop the truth from going forth. Whispering in the ears, 'Are you going to take that?!!'
But the truth can quiet the enemy and cause him to flee.

If the demonic is in it, trust me: you'll KNOW. And I mean you will KNOW. It won't just be the usual argumentative things, annoyance, or whatever. There will be an intelligence there that aims straight for your heart and gut to rip you apart from the inside. The demonic hones in on your weakness and exploits it. It twists your words around in ways you cannot get out of. It will also make you feel isolated like you are trapped in a house full of distortion mirrors with a laugh track. Believe me, it is WAY different than just having some hecklers push your buttons and feeling upset or angered in response and having a tough time controlling your flesh. The demonic is like a drop-kick into the Twilight Zone.

Most "heckling" experiences you will face will be ordinary human flesh. However if you encounter a bona fide demonic attack, don't panic and don't freak out and most importantly, don't give it any extra power by treating it like something special. You can silently pray for Jesus to intervene as HE sees fit and trust Him with the rest while you get on with your mission.
