Well, I'm thinking “what are good gifts to buy for the opposite sex?” I hear a lot of women in my family that would say “Please do not buy me chocolate or flowers!” to their husbands. So, what is a gift that you would like to receive? Something that you may not get at all or you don’t get enough.

I enjoy gifts that come from the heart. Whether its something they sketch, written, or anything that I know took time to create. I like to know that someone put their time into something for me. I love receiving gifts from all my babies, things they made for me.

My girlfriend made me a sketch, I like that a lot.
She also makes a lot of stuff for me. Im not really into getting anything expensive from people, it has to come from the heart. The gifts she gives me really show that she cares. She made me a coffee mug with our picture in it.
If just a random girl was going to give me a gift, honestly I would be a little suspicious of their intentions if they werent my GF, but im just paranoid like that. ;)

I must say I like the idea of something made by oneself for the SO.

My granny knitted a jersey for my grandfather, who then went to town with it on. When he returned, she noticed he no longer had it on. She asked what he did with it, and he said that he had met a hobo in the park (Middle of winter) and felt sorry for him, so he gave it to the hobo.

I don't think my granny ever made my grandfather a jersey again after that:D

But seriously, especially if the two are gaga over each other, something they spent many hours making is a very nice idea.

A phone call.

Anything from the heart, but I love music, so a cd would count in. God bless!!!

^ What they said.

Or anything that was seriously thought about.

And if the person is online - a thoughtful gift from the CF armory would work.

anything from the heart i'm going to love. Be it a phone call, a song on his guitar, a book, a CD, a gift from the CF armory, whatever... as long as he does it as a way to show me he cares about me i'm going to love it.

that being said though it depends on the guy and the gift. If my bf writes me a poem my heart is just going to melt - if a guy friend writes me a poem i'm probably going to wonder what the guy is up to. :p

off the top of my head, and iPod with her favorite songs loaded into it would be cool.

I can tell you from past experience though, that even if the girl SPECIFICALLY ASKS you for a pilates video, the minute you buy it you just called her fat. You can't win that one.

Honestly, I think a small gift should be something non-practical. I helped a neighbor lady write a document once and she bought me a CD of guitar music. It was from one of those fancy mall shops that specializes in "gifts" and gadgets and cool things.

The worst gift I ever received? A tube of toothpaste with a Christmas card. The Christmas card itself would have been more than enough. The small practical gift was just depressing.
