Anointing with Oil

Since several other people had read your post and none responded, I thought I would add a few thoughts. It is by no means comprehensive.

It's scriptural such as: Jam 5:14 "Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord" Mar 6:13 "And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them."

Of course, there's no power in the oil itself. The oil symbolizes G_d's anointing and power and reminds us of the Spirt of God.

To me since it is one of the few items in the Tabernacle of Moses means it is significant.

It really is not any different than praying for someone, except there is a physical representation, a physical feeling as well as a spiritual side to being prayed for and blessed
