Seen 3 of the 4 you mentioned in concert - Rich Mullins the only one i didn't get a chance to see unfortunately.

Keith Green's music was ULTRA annointed - and, at times, very hard to listen to. He didn't pull no punches - i always feel inadequate as a Christian whenever i listen to his music. He inspired all who heard him to be all they could be for Christ - NO COMPROMISE!

Steve Taylor was one of the ultimate satirists in Christian music.

And Petra was, well...Petra. One of the first pioneers of hard Christian rock...their longevity is testament to their popularity (as evidenced by 7+ million albums sold)

Every last one of them!! Interesting that the only one still in music in any capacity is Taylor.

Interesting side note, my oldest son has the same birthday as John Schlitt from Petra. We met the band at a signing table during the Farewell tour, and he signed a photo as a birthday gift. That was very VERY cool!

sweet!!! I got to sing a couple of lines with him once during a solo concert he did back in the day, when he first had his solo records out.

Rich Mullins and Keith Green RIP.
They fought the fight, finished the race, kept the faith and left a legacy not easily forgotten.

Yea his soph more record is good (John), it just doesn't rock like petra did. I love the lyrics to "I Killed a Man" but the tune is somewhat annoying no matter how much I try to like it.

Rich saved some of his best for last...The Jesus Record is a classic.

Been a Jonathan Schlit fan since his days in Head East...I will miss Petra.
