Things that can hinder prayer

John 8:44
You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

Satan will tell us anything to keep us from communicating with God, like for example, that our prayers do not matter.

Using the excuse of not having enough time to spend time with God

Saying that God has enough to do without all your 'little' problems.

If a husband is not loving toward his wife, that can hinder his prayers. We are told to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. So if we are not righteous before God there are a lot of promises we are not qualified for. If we do not have a pure heart, and live holy, sanctifed lives, that can hinder God from working in our lives.

The Bible says to delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give us the desires of our heart. So we can not grumble and complain. We must rejoice in the lord always and be glad in him. It really all comes down to having the right attitude. Jesus desired to be well pleasing to the Father, and so should we. We should always wear our Jesus perfume.

I was going to list unforgiveness but I forgot my Scripture reference. It was in Matthew 5 or 6 I think

not concentrating, such as praying before bedtime and fall asleep.
