Incense

Why do you use incense?

It helps me stay focused in prayer, it's a sweet-smelling burnt offering to God, and some believe it helps carry our prayers to heaven.

Because we should worship God with all of our being, which includes our senses. It is analogous with our prayers going up to heaven.

Because those who have worshiped God have been ordered to use incense since the beginning? Because the Angels use incense in heaven?


How about "Because it smells good and we like it?"

Psalm 141:
