Prayer needed

About three weeks ago, I put in a prayer request for my brother Rock. He collapsed at work in a seizure, and in a emergency CAT scan they found a mass the size of a golfball behind his brain stem.Inoperable.

After a week in D.C,for a biopsy and a shunt placement,we have the results. It is malignant. It is called an astrocytoma tumor. Now we are waiting for one last test,to find out the grade,1,2,3,or 4. 3 &4 being a very fast, aggressive growing tumor.

I just haven't the words to pray right now. Because inevitably, it comes down to what I want and not His will. I feel like throwing His will out the window at moments these past few weeks. My brother has a daughter, 3 ,with spinabifida, who so desperately needs him, and my heart is just numb, from breaking.

Please pray for my family. We are leaving for D.C tomorrow, we have a meeting, as a family, with 9 neurologists, a radiation therapist and a chemo specialist. They are planning on attacking this now, aggressively and quickly. Pray for all of the doctors who we are dealing with too.

Pray for my mom, Janet, this is hitting her so hard, and pray for all of us, but especially for Gods healing touch on my brother, Staff Sargt.Rock Aaron Allbaugh.(he's very proud of his title, he loves our country.)

Thankyou, Lori

Thanks, and Godbless you all, Lori

Lori, May God Bless you and your family and loved ones.

Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you in prayer for the health of "Staff Sargt. Rock Aaron Allbaugh". I know Lord that just as you have created us you can heal us. Lord that is what I pray right now. Father I also pray for his family, help encourage them each day and give them the strength to make it through each difficult day. Dear Lord be with Lori, her mom Janet and their entire family. Help them feel the peace that comes only from knowing you. Wrap your loving arms around them, encourage them, and comfort them during this difficult time in their lives. Lord, I also ask that you give direction and strength to the caregivers, the doctors, nurses and all involved with "Staff Sargt. Rock Aaron Allbuaghs'" care. In Jesus name I pray. AMEN

Lori, I am praying for your brother, you and the rest of your family. Just rest assured in the fact that even when we don't know what to pray or we just don't have the words of even the strength, the Holy Spirit intercedes for us (Romans 8:26-27). Please keep us updated!

Hello all. It has been a long couple of weeks as you all probably know by now. It is alot to take in and there is much to tell.I will do my best to explain what we know so far.I am in Washington D.C now with my mom, we had an appoinment today with the radiation oncologist. Whew. It's alot to absorb.

Rocky has a grade 3 possibly grade 4 Astrocytoma tumor. They are looking for oligodendroglioma. They are hoping for this to be a part of the astrocytoma tumor, for then it will be able to be attacked with chemo therapy, after they've completed radiation therapy. Which he will start in about 1 1/2 weeks, and he will go through 35, 1/2 hour sessions, for about 6 weeks.5 times a week. They are attacking very aggressively.5500-6000 rads of radiation per session. They have informed us that that is the most they can do.

They have been honest, and as encouraging as they can be. If the radiation does not work, it will not be an option again in the future, ever.Thye body can only withstand so much radiation, and most of the time, there are long term effects from it.If they do not find the oligodendroglioma in the tumor, they have said they have not had any success thus far with chemo on a stage 3-4 astrcytoma without this componet being present in the tumor. And if that's the case, it will then be called a brain stem glioma.

They have not given us a "time alotment". Another doctor told him possibly 1 -2 years. We don't want anyone to tell us time alotments really. For we hear what they are saying, but we refuse to accept it. For we know who is in control of it all. And none of us believe God is through with Rock yet.

Please continue to pray for me and my family. My brother Rock mostly and my mom, Janet.Pray for strength. Courage. Peace.

Godbless you all,
Lori

Lori-

Thanks for the update. You said it right, we ultimately know who is in control of this situation. I pray for the healing touch of God to touch Rocky directly or through the hands of the doctors and nurses who are taking care of him.

I also pray for your family to feel the presence of God right beside you all the way through this. He is there Lori. And He will continue to be no matter what the outcome.

Heavenly Father, You know all the days of our lives and have them numbered. Only you know the number of Rock's days, and how many more he will receive from you. We know that every day we live is a gift from you, and every breath we draw is a blessing. Please Lord, if you can make it part of your plan for Rock's life, give him the gift of many more days, the blessing of many more breaths.

If it is not possible, if it is not your best will for Rock to heal from this disease, then make something wonderful come from it.

Through the authority given to us through Jesus Christ, Amen!

"Give praise in all things."

This is proving to be my greatest challenge these days.

I will persevere. I will keep my eyes on Jesus. He is the ultimate healer, He is the great I am, He is almighty, He is wonderful, He is savior of of us, He is keeper of my soul.

Thankyou Father, for teaching me so many things during this time, and for giving me the grace to accept it all, even the things that hurt, even the things that I don't like, even the things I can't control. You are in control of this situation, you do have a plan, and your will be done. Help my tears to be cleansing. Give me the words to say, when I can not find them.I love you Father, and I give you all the praise and Glory for all things.

Hi Lori!

I read something in a book not to long ago about offering God thanks in all things, and if it is okay I would like to share it with you.

It said that it is okay to tell God you don't understand why He is causing something or allowing something to happen in your life. But to offer thanks to Him because we know that it is something that God has asked us to do because we trust that He has a purpose for whatever is happening. We may find out this purpose tommorrow but then again we may never find out. But thanking Him doesn't mean we totally understand the "why's" and the "how come's", just that we trust in Him and are willing to give our hurt and pain and confusion over to him.

Still praying for your brother and you and the rest of your family!

Thankyou so much wvmtnkid ! That is proving to be my greatest trial. Not understanding, and trying to understand that I may never understand. Did that make sense? I feel like me and my whole family are on this big rollercoaster of emotions, when one of us is up for a moment another is down...it's just been awful. I'm learning the best way to get through my day, the best way to get through a phone call with my brother, the best way is to just try to keep my eyes on Jesus !

We passed a sign driving today that said "all you have to do is have the faith, leave the results up to God.

Whew.If only it were as easy as reading it.

Godbless you all, Lori
