Everyone remember the videos of the Iraqis kissing our soldiers after they toppled the statue of Saddam, and begging them not to leave like we did under Bush Senior? We were loved until the insurgency started their propaganda, and killing all the Iraqis.

I still believe it is ONLY those sadistic animals who want us out of Iraq, and their power structure like they had under Saddam, back. I do NOT believe the average Iraqi citizen wants the coalition forces to leave,so Iraq can fall back into the hands of the likes of them! :prayer: :prayer:

What's the problem?

The kid probably thought it was a Coke.

There's plenty of running water in Iraq for people to drink if they want to drink water.

Why do you think we have contractors in Iraq to rebuild the infrastructure — with our money, no less?

Rebuild the infrastructure that we destroyed. And actually, hasn't all the money for reconstruction been used up or reallocated?

Can I ask a serious question? When something like this is brought to the forefront by a user here, why do most Republicans attack the user who posted the information, but say absolutely nothing about the soldier who is doing this?

Because that is all they have left. You can't fight the truth.

Seeing that I was the 1st Rep to respond allow me to retort. I was not attacking the one who created the OP but the argument constructed from the video. Also, if you'll notice I did criticize the Troops by saying it was "dumb" of them to tease the kids with the water; but that is as far as I am able to critique the Troops. They are in a War and it is pure HELL on Earth and they all know their # could be up at any second.

My overall point is to say if you're going to ask, "Wonder Why They Hate the US?" then I suggest pointing to some more appropriate points such the policies that have put the Troops there because to focus on the Troops themselves is absurd on more levels than I can count; and I have a calculator.:)

The groups like Al-Qaeda don't actually want us to leave Iraq, they want to fight us... that is why they are there in the first place... to fight us, and to recruit those who will buy into us being evil.

I remember it was a publicity stunt by the Bush admin that got exposed by non-Bush friendly media.

Whom should we give more creedence to? Americans living Stateside or the people of Iraq themselves?

From 2004.....

"Iraqis no longer see the presence of the American-led military as a plus. Asked whether they view the U.S.-led coalition as "liberators" or "occupiers," 71% of all respondents say "occupiers."

They are from different dates for one specific reason: Every single one shows the consistent voice that the people of Iraq want the US to leave. Why are we not honoring their request? Don't we want them to exercise their Democracy?

To support what I said about the toppling of the statue being a publicity stunt....

This is a pic of what the Bush admin wanted us to believe...

This is a pic of the real situation....

Moreover, the majority of the crowd was flown into Iraq by the US 3 days before that media stunt.

I'll tell you who I give credence to,and that is the soldiers home on leave that I have heard give testimonies in church, more than ANY media source!

well, although this photo and link has nothing to do with the OP, I still went and looked, in fact got the link open right now and am looking at this allegged "proof" it claims.

there is no way to prove what the photos are being claimed to represent. You got a photo of a guy being escorted, the caption claims to say from an airport on a certain day but how do you know? no proof - no airport in the photo background of this guy. only what the site sais. which can be anything it wants it to say.

the other photo shows (and I am looking at it right now)
what may appear to be the same man flashing a "V" or peace sign - the background does not show where and the caption once again is what the site sais it is. which means it can be anywhere or anything the site wants it to be.

I saw the other photo about the overhead photo of the statue prior to it being pulled down. prove to me when and what day it was taken. and not what the site sais it was.

so, the assertions of this being a staged event with the participants being specially flown in, well, thats a load of fertilizer. I had to wear hip waders going thru that link it got so deep.....

anyhooos, back to the OP and topic.

The twin towers sure were blown up from the inside but I reckon people have been to the moon.

... so what do they say?
