Toe-socks.

I kid you not. Last year a colleague bought his children (who are close in age to mine) a fancy karaoke machine for Christmas. He was very proud of it, and was describing it to the attendees at a meeting that I was at. When he was done I said "well, do you know what I got for my children? ... Toe-socks!" -- and immediately the Karaoke machine was forgotten as everyone reminisced about how cool toe-socks are.

A passive electronic entertainment device can never measure up to the sheer pleasure of dancing around the parlour with every toe a different fuzzy colour!

:( I haven't seen toe-socks since I moved to the UK.

I'm going to try to source some; I must be able to get them from somewhere.

My kids would really love to get the PS3, but there is no way we can afford it. They will have to make due with their PS1.
same here - we're going to disneyland the week before christmas - so actual "gifts" will be limited this year..they get too much from family anyways - it's almost ridiculous

A few weeks ago, Just before Sunflower's birthday, I found an exquisite three quarter carat asher cut diamond and had it mounted on her ring in place of the smaller emerald cut stone.

I am not sure what i will buy her for christmas

As I'm writing my son and his friends are lined up outside a Circuit City with vouchers for a PS3 that they will start giving out at 12 midnight to those who are there. Only he doesn't plan to keep it but wants to re-sell it on e-bay for a profit and then buy a cheaper one next year. He's still got savings from last year's jobs.

Sweet!

PC games are way superior but it just requires so much effort and money to get a decent money. I prefer the no-fuss approach with consoles.
