Matthew 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Matthew 6:1 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and THEN he shall reward every man according to his works.

Here we find that upon Jesus’ return is when we receive our reward (those in Christ) of salvation into our immortal body and life eternal whereby we reign with him on earth.

Luke 6:23 Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their fathers treated the prophets.

What day is that? The day of the Lord’s return.

Colossians 3:24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

What is our inheritance? Salvation - Immortality - Life eternal with Jesus on the earth. Matthew 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth (not heaven).

Revelation 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

Again, we see that our reward comes when Christ returns. We do not go up to heaven to receive our reward.

Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Revelation 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

Revelation 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Revelation 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Revelation 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

Revelation 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

Revelation 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

Reward of salvation? There's no such thing becos salvation is a grace gift received at the point of conversion. So it cant be a "reward" -- for something we have done. Reward presupposes "payment" for something achieved. Salvation is by grace thru faith alone.

The verses you have quoted never say "reward of salvation". But we do get rewards -- crowns, be put in charge of cities, etc -- for our good works when Christ comes back. Or, loss of rewards. All this i believe takes place at the "beimer" judgement seat of Christ. But that's not the same thing as being saved.

We are saved and HAVE eternal life (zoe-life) at the point of salvation.

1 Cor 9:24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

"When do we receive our reward of salvation"

When we finnish our christian course faithfully.

2 Tim 4: 6-8.  "For I am already being pourd out like a drink offering, and the due time for my releasing is imminent.  I have fought the fine fight , I have run the course to the finnish, I have obseved the faith.  From this time on there is reserved for me the crown of righteouness, which the Lord, the righeous judge, will give me as a reward in that day, yet not only to me, but also to all those who have loved his manifestation".

1. We receive our gift of salvation daily. Really every second I am saved. I am saved now. I am saved from having to choose sin. I am saved to believe God. I am no longer dead but alive. I am no longer a prisoner or slave to this world but I am now a slave to God. SO I am saved now and I receive some of my rewards now even though I do not deserve them. However...

2. I will also receive more when my race is over. When the appointed time that God has for me to die comes I will receive eternal life in Heaven. I will receive even more than I have now. For now I live on this corrupted earth and even though God lives in me I do not fully know as I am known. (1 cor. 13) When I do get to heaven I will receive more rizes. Not as a reward but as a gracious gift.

So yes I receive some of the kingdom of God now but I will receive more later. I think the main point of salvation is that God is so gracious and merciful. That we get what we never deserve and God is always giving us blessings for ever and ever.

I have heard and I think it is true that the kingdom of God is here now but not completely. The kingdom is here in each of us but until the Jesus comes back it is not completely here for the Earth is still going through the results of man's sin. But God is saving His elect everyday and will do so forever. Praise God.

(quote)Luke 6:23 Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their fathers treated the prophets.

What day is that? The day of the Lord’s return.

The day is a referance to when we are being persecuted or suffering trials and tribulations, we are to rejoice. Like Paul and Peter rejoiced when they were beaten, because they were "counted worthy" to suffer for the sake of Jesus.

We know that God is going to cause ALL things to work out for the best for us, so we have NOTHING to worry and NOTHING to be unhappy about. Of course if we are not following God's plan and purpose for us and our life, that would be a different story. In that case, our course of action should be to repent and return to God with our whole heart, mind, soul & strength.
