I am from Alberta but hoping to be moving to Manitoba to go to school next year.

After living in Manitoba for six months I retract all my previous statements. My jeep has been attempted to be stolen multiple times. Manitoba Public Insurance is a joke...anyone who thinks the public system is better then private hasn't had to deal with both systems. Crime and poverty is so rampant here that the citizens of Manitoba have become complacent and think that this way of life is normal. Anyone considering moving to Manitoba should really do their homework before hand. I am counting the days until I can move away from this crazy province. I have lived in the east, and also the west and I can honestly say that Manitoba has been such a culture shock for me that I wouldn't even recommend visiting this province unless you have a good reason to such as family. I felt safer walking through down town halifax, moncton, montreal, calgary, edmonton, and vancouver in the middle of the night then i do walking through down town winnipeg at noon hour... oi.
