Hmmm...

`Jacob' = `Patchy'???

Also, for a while I thought the cop was Anna Lucia's partner.

I am really starting to wonder about the *rest* of the captives - the ones taken from the tail section prior to the Anna Lucia Death March.

I also suspect the Others are hiding something major - something they cannot really deal with, and something that defines them as a group. Something beyond them being leftover DHARMA employees, something possibly not DHARMA related. Whatever this something is, it is at the core of many of their actions, including at least some of the larcenous ones.

I know Jack is trying to buy the freedom of at least one of them and I know Kate is in a very tense situation right now, but I'm a little bit surprised she didn't tell Jack that -

- they are on a different island - there's no where to go

- she doesn't want to leave Sawyer, who's about to be killed.

Also wondering if it's a bit of a test on Jack's part - Juliette had indicated that she and some of the other Others wanted to get rid of Ben and I KNOW they seem to be keeping that hidden...

But, at least for the moment, they sure are intent on keeping him alive and not revealing their plot.

So, does Benry have another pathetic little boat to put Jack on? Why should he keep his word to get Jack off the island once the surgery is done. I can just hear him now - "Sorry Jack, but certainly you could understand my situation, but you're going no where."

Kate actually showered about 2 days ago and the last time Sawyer kissed her she tasted like strawberries.

Theory Time! This is based off of everything that we've seen so far, not any previews or anything like that.

Let's going back 16 years. Danielle. We don't know her story, if she's really an other, or if her story is true. Let's say her story is true, but it doesn't matter. Whatever happened her baby got taken and Ben raised the baby as his daughter.

Now we go to the present. The leader of the others is Jacob, but to us he's known as "Patchy". He's not a direct leader, but he's someone very powerful whom they fear. He gave the others a list on which losties he wanted captured for a devine purpose (or something like that). Henry, knowing that he was dying, decided to edit that list and add Jack, in hopes that Jack would save his life.

Oh, and there is some plot against Ben, and Alex knows about it, so she was trying to talk to him and tell him, but nobody would let her. Which means this plot is bigger than everyone.

1. Do you really believe Ben when he told Saywer they were on another island. I for one don't believe anything they say.

2. I don't believe Jules has any intension of helping Jack. More lies. She seemed a bit surprised by the little cut Jack made.

3. I think Kate and Sawyer did the nasty not because kate loves Sawyer but because she truely thought he was going to be killed. You know. A little sympothy "net catching".

4. My thoughts are that Alex was raised by Ben and he was asking about her out of concern, as a parent would ask about their own child.

5. Out of shear desparation, Ben is pleading for his life and would promise Jack the moon to get that operation. I don't think he had any intension of letting jack go. Unless, he would have a religous moment after the surgery.

6. I really don't trust Jules. I think she has an evil mind. Maybe she was hoping Jack would do her dirty work and kill Ben making it look like an accident. I don't think she expected this.

Something that doesn't make sense. Maybe another lie. Ben told Jack that he finds out he has a tumor and a neorosurgeon falls from the sky.

Didn't Jack ask how old the x-rays were and they said about 2 weeks? Haven't they been on the island for what 72 days now. So Ben's comment doesn't add up. And what, the man with the tumor goes wondering around the island looking for Jack. Still don't get it.

I think there are under-water tunnels that connect the islands. I don't for a minute believe there is no way to get from one to the other without a boat. The Others met them in the woods. There's an easier way to get there.

I couldn't tell if that was her acting for the Others' benefit, or if she was really surprised. But no, more and more I don't trust her. Last week I thought she was completely on the up-and-up. This week, not so much.

I thought about that too. The only thing I could think of was that there were two sets of x-rays, a couple months apart. Otherwise it doesn't add up.

Another thing that doesn't add up: why go through all this to get Jack to help him anyway? When they first landed, they could easily have just wandered over there and been all, "Hey, are you guys okay? We saw your plane crash. Come on over, we have a Wednesday night book club you might enjoy, TV, showers, Internet, the works. Oh hey, you're a spinal surgeon?? Can you help our bud Ben out? Y'all rock!"

Wouldn't that have been way more effective than kidnapping, terrorizing, manipulating, beating up, capturing, etc., just to make him "want to want to help"??

The X-ray could just be a more recent one, to see how the tumor has progressed. And I think it makes plenty of sense that he would seek to find Jack and be desperate to get him back to his "compound".
