The reason why homosexual are unable to inherit the Kingdom of God.

If any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; Let him know, that he which converts the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins (James 5:19-20).

Those called to salvation are predestinated to be conformed to the image of the Son of God Jesus Christ (Romans 8:29-30). Because Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible God (Colossians 1:13-15), we are being made in the image of God (Genesis 1:26) as we are conformed to the image of Jesus Christ. Because Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8), and because He followed the Mosaic Law which condemns homosexuality as sin (Leviticus 20:13), we see that those who continue to either practice or condone homosexuality are unable to be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ to be saved as heirs of the Kingdom of God (Revelation 21:7), unless they repent.

Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: (Ephesians 4:13).

So, according to your post, not only will homosexuals burn in hell for all eternity, but those who support them as well...even the heterosexual friends of gays and lesbians?

We're all doomed. Practically everyone has a gay friend. Do closeted homosexuals count toward your hellfire and brimstone, or are you exempt if they haven't admitted they were gay? What if they're obviously gay and it's the worst kept secret ever, but they haven't officially come out of the closet? Is it safe to associate with them, or do you still go to hell?

Should I repent for helping a friend get over her first same-sex crush? Should I worry about the state of my soul because I cared more about being a friend than condemning her to hell?

Good point, yasic. There are so many rules in Leviticus that taking one of them and declaring it absolute truth regarding a behavior is rather foolish.

Do you have your own words at all, or are we expected to interpret Scripture exactly as you do? I'm not a mind reader, and I don't think anyone else here is either. How about you tell us what you think?

I think it would deferentiate between what kind of friend...are you a friend that condones there behaviour then it may apply. But Jesus hung out with the worst of people....that doesnt men that he agreed with what they were doing. i know alot of homosexuals I dare call some my friends, yet they are in no doubt that what I think about the ACT OF HOMOSEXUALITY.

Just to get that straight before I confuse your position with that of other Christians: You are telling me that the mosaic law has not been overthrown or in any way modified by the "new covenant" , and is in its entirety still the law today?

I´m sorry, JW, but I don´t succeed in having much interest in those TrueChristain issues. I´m sure you don´t want me - the nonbeliever -to be the judge who is a Christian and who is not and I don´t want to be that either. So I see no other way than to accept everyone as a Christian who thinks of themselves as such.
But I, too, used to think that this was one of the essential differences in the self identification of Jews and Christians.

An interesting point, the SDAs hold the laws of leviticus (especially those that state what is to be eaten and not eaten) to still be true. So I guess in a way you are right...but then again I think the fact that the new covenant did change the way Christians should view the laws of the old covenant a important part of identifying being a christian.

Many Christians consider the Mormons, SDA and Jehovahs Witness to be a cult rather than Christians......I guess that at the core though a Christian is a person that believes and follows the teachings of Christ as best as they can.

Why, OH WHY, do you insist on focusing on the act of homosexuality? It appears to be an obsession with many on this forum. I don't understand why people are so enthralled by the thought of 2 men or 2 women making love.
