Here it's pretty hot. I think top of 35C. (I'm in Canberra)

Too hot for October, yesterday we had the air conditioning on. I won't turn it on today. We are just in singlets. My daughter was too hot to nap so later on today I have to get in to the shed and get the fan out so it's in her room for tomorrow if it's hot tomorrow.

She had a short nap just enough to hopefully see her through to bed tonight (it was just over an hour normally she has anywhere between 1 1/2 hour and 3 hours) So hoping she won't be too cranky later on.

I'm by myself so there's no "shift changeover" at 5:30 pm tonight. So she'd want to behave herself.

Yeah it's hot, makes me wonder what Summer's going to be like.

It's weird. We had a heatwave predicted for this week late last week. Then they revised it, and it hasn't come. It's actually hotter in Canberra and Sydney than it is here. We've been quite cool here this week. We haven't even hit 30. So strange for it to be hotter in the south of NSW than the north.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the rain. I have been praying for the rain to come. Last Winter was pretty good in terms of rain (probably not enough but it was the most there was here in some time, enough to take us off water restrictions or only on level 1 or something like that, now they are talking about putting them back on again)

Whereas this Winter there was hardly any rain at all, in fact I don't really feel like we had much of a Winter - yeah sure it got down to some -6C nights but most days were pretty fine, I don't think I wore my Winter jacket all that much at all.

Yeah.. winter wasnt winter at all this year. Even for Tassie!
We only had a few sprinkles of snow on Mount Wellington.. which is crazy talk for a Tassie winter.
We had hardly any rain at all, and I've heard complaints that there hasnt been any water restrictions. They said "If we have fire bans on these hot days, then where are the water restrictions?" Or something along those lines...

You have a pool Aimz?

That would be great!!!!! No pool fees or anything! (but yes I guess you would have to clean the pool though and that would be a nuisance.)
yea, we have a pool... but its cold... and i dont use it. lol.

i dont have to clean it either... some1 else does. lol.

but yea, i would prefer the beach over the pool... unless the pool was warmer... which it isnt... but yea..

Yeah, I don't live anywhere near the beach (I believe South Coast is 3 hours away)

I think there are some places you can swim for free in Canberra, I know there certainly were when I was a little kid, but I don't know anymore. R is so against us going anywhere but the local pool to swim, mainly because it is under cover and he is fair skinned. So is Daniel for that matter, but lucky Emily and I are brown. In fact Emily is only 1 year old and since the warmer weather she has gotten darker than Daniel and also she doesn't keep her hat on and she has HIGHLIGHTS. ROFL.
