Let's hold onto e-mails and IM conversations that are potentially damaging to Republicans one month before the election when they were in the possession of Democratic operatives months before.

Desperation politiccs
Playing it loose with the facts again I see.

in your post #16, you stated that congress had to wait until justice dept. finished up. to defend their timing when you have no idea when justice got finished with their investigation is not filling me with respect for your consistency, james.

I am not inconsisent

The Congress couldn't investigate it concurrently with Justice. Justice is done with it. I am not sure when it finally finished up
Regardless, this is an issue that needs to be investigated. Obviosuly Sandy Burglar had something significant to hide regarding the Clinton's failure in counter terrorism. You don't put documents in your socks and then destroy them. He said it was an "honest" mistake. That is the biggest bunch of BS I have ever heard

He was sentenced over one year ago, and they decide to bring up his name 3 weeks before election! a coincidence? No

To add....isn't congress currently adjourned?

this is becoming embarrassing james.
you are saying that they had to wait. ok. you are defending the timing as necessary because they had to wait. as we have just seen, justice finished up a year ago. you have zero credibility on this, buddy.
i am not trying to defend old sandy. he is just plain dirty and i said so since the news came out that the documents left in his sock! BUSTED! but don't try to make this argument that this is just the way the calendar fell. none of us are that naive or gullible. i'm not even saying it isn't a good attempt by the gop to muddle the pond, but don't try to sell it as the luck of the draw. i wouldn't insult you that way.

No it's not

you are saying that they had to wait.

I never said they had to wait until now, they had to wait until Justice was done
Maybe they had other issues to tend to in the meantime. Can you prove they didn't?

as we have just seen, justice finished up a year ago. you have zero credibility on this, buddy.

Nope, you have zero credibility since you are twisting what I had to say. I simply said they had to wait.

Yes until the best possible political moment

Just like the Dems bringing up Bush's DUI before the election and these myserious e-mails

Nobody really cares if he stuffed pages in his pants....

I do since his doing that interfered with probably the most important investigation of the last 60 years. He had something to hide

they only care about who is in the pants of the pages ^

And Foley has not been in the pants of any pages, at least of any active ones

this move may work against the gop. the evangelical base is being played like a harp, and i think they are catching on. this kind of play is so transparent that to think it is anything else is too humiliating to oneself to let them do it. this could very possibly have a backlash from the conservatives who don't want to be one of the automotons who "drank the kool-aid".

Gee James, the Democrats come out with a story and you're all operatives and conspiracies, the Republicans pull out an existing story trying to make it an issue anew and you don't have accusations for them. You really expect anyone to give you an ounce of credibility? The least you could have done is stayed away from the thread.

Good. He deserves jail time for what he did.

You or I would have received prison time. The fine was a joke. He should also have lost his security clearance forever, not just three years.

GOP alienates its base over this. And Berger wasn't the first. Rank and file conservatives were infuriated that of the more than 100 people who took the fifth or fled the country rather than testify under oath about illegal Asian money (PRC cash) flowing into the DNC under Clinton, no one got serious time. Reno pled out a few of the minor players (the Lums for instance) and the rest skated.

Mark Middleton, Clinton's boyhood friend assistent to his Chief of Staff, was the highest ranking official ever to take the fifth before Congress and he skated. Last I heard of him he was making some good money working for Riady and the Lippo Group in Indonesia.

Berger steals classified documents and ends up on TV pontificating on national security. The lesson here for Democrats is they can do whatever they want. They never pay for it. In fact, they are feted by the liberal establishement for doing what Berger and Middleton did ( add Alcee Hastings, Barney Frank, John Murtha, Gerry Stubbs and Ted Kennedy to the list too)
