Many people in today's society don't understand why any sexual activity other than how God created us to use it is sinful. The reason that God considers them sins is because they are based on selfish desires.
God created lust in the human being in order to propagate the species. And when used in a committed relationship, one is giving more to his/her spouse than just sexual satisfation and love is then added to the relationship. But a relationship based on lust such as homosexuality is a selfish one because the couple could care less what God or anyone thinks about their relationship, all that matters is that they satisfy their lustful desires. That's when lust turns to selfishness instead of love. When a relationship is based on lust, then people stop caring about the other person but instead see him/her as an object of desire rather than a human being whose mental, physical and spiritual health is as impostant as one's own. That is true love rathern than lust.
Now many people might not understand that and to them there is no good explanation of why sexual immorality is sinful because their lust is too prominant in them to be objective, just like an alcholic who can't admit that drinking is bad for him. And that's why only God is objective enough to decide what is sinful and what isn't.
