Some of the things coming from the right are amazing. Especially some of the conspiracy theories from Rush; wow!

Just when I thought the right couldn't stoop any lower...

Funny how a party who is so gung ho on personal responsibility sure lacks it. The hypocrisy is simply astounding!

The Left wants to take the Foley scandal all the way to the top, blame the House Speaker, possibly the President himself, and the Right is supposed to just sit back and take it? It may come as a suprise, but that isn't how things work, on either side of the aisle.

Yes, so the Republican game of blame the victim is obviously just a logical response that anyone would do. Too bad the victim this time is underage and white, so the chances of them getting away with it is approximately nil (it is funny how they drag out the tired old classics too. Where was the calls that Monica was asking for it, or inviting it, or it was basically her fault, instead of Bill's, to borrow the Republican's favorite tactic - Clinton).

I also like the instigation that its normal political tactics to blatently lie in order to defend an obviously corrupt politician and the system that protected him. Lying, corruptin, and coverup - obviously this is completely acceptable, that's how things work, either side of the aisle, nothing to see here, move along, move along...

Anyone else think that's a little sick?

If you want to talk about lows, as I said, looke at some or the posts here and look at the garbage they decide to post.

Imagine if Foley raped somebody, these same people would say,"These kids weren't innocent, they egged him on, they asked for it, and I bet you the kid was a Democrat, so he definitely deserved it. See it's all part of a liberal plan to win in 2006..."

A new low indeed...

Keith is the first reporter I have seen cover this story today on cable news. A 24 hour news cycle shouldn't mean it takes 24 hours to report. Of course when we have to wait for Keith to come on, it does mean that.

Video - WMV Video - QT

Keith mentions that O'Reilly's show is not live, but rather taped hours in advance, which makes this "oops" even more unacceptable. There has been a convenient silence from FOX on this "mistake".

Well if Keith Olbermann said it, then it must be true. When's the last time he had a show where it wasn't about hating a) Bush, b)O'reilly or c) anybody that doesn't agree with him?

Thought you might want to know, saw an issue of USA Today newspaper. Neilsen has him back in last place for Q3.

I watched this program last night. Olbermann was right on the money, again! Last place....who cares? Few want to hear the truth, most would rather listen to Oreilly half truths and stories of falafel.:p

Doesn't matter who said it to make it true. The truth is the truth. I guess this is another example of the right's policy of "it's everybody else's fault". So instead of addressing the issue of O'Reilly saying Foley is a Democrat you attack the person pointing it out. Sad that this is what we can expect from the right as a typical response.

I really don't agree with Michael Savage, but there is something fishy about the kid saving the IM's
AOl IM doesn't have an autoarchive feature He had to make a concious effort to save them
Why he would save them, I don't know, unless he planned to use them in the future
Or you could use a program like Gaim or DeadAIM, which saves all your chats, all my chats are saved. But I guess this is the advantage of having facts, unlike Savage who clearly is ignorant.

No, I've said before, and I'll say it again. It's Foley's fault entirely. ENTIRELY. Any questions about who's fault it is now? The 'Crats have tried to make this about the entire Republican party leadership, and it smells, and it smells bad, and it's honestly making me wonder if there wasn't something behind the scenes going on that caused this to happen less than a month before the elections.

All the Dems want to know, concerning the Repub leadership, is who knows what and when did they know....they are reasonable questions to ask. What you are smelling just may be republican cover ups, and it does stink.

I forgot to add, the dems want Hastert out ^_^

The 'Crats have tried to make this about the entire Republican party leadership,
I'm not aware of anyone who claims the leadership is responsible for Foley's actions. What I do hear are questions as to why an investigation wasn't conducted earlier. This, of course, falls on the leadership.

It's not only Democrats. I know of one Republican representative (can't remember his name, from Missouri, I believe) who is distancing himself from Hastert.

You mean there may be a political motive? Nah, can't be!

Here you go: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15134923/

It's much more than Democrats who are criticizing Hastert.

Hastert, R-Ill., already under fire from some conservative activists and fellow congressional Republicans — including members of his leadership team — remained largely out of sight Wednesday.

...

[a member of Foley’s leadership team, Rep. Thomas Reynolds of New York] has been vocal in trying to explain that the responsibility for responding to Foley’s behavior lay with Hastert...

...

Wednesday, another member of the Republican leadership, Rep. Roy Blunt of Missouri, said he would have handled the entire matter differently last year.

“I think I could have given some good advice here, which is you have to be curious, you have to ask all the questions you can think of,” Blunt said. “You absolutely can’t decide not to look into activities because one individual’s parents don’t want you to.”

...

Conservative activists and commentators also were criticizing the speaker.

Fund-raiser Richard Viguerie, a leader in the conservative movement, was among those who called for Hastert to step down. “The fact that they just walked away from this, it sounds like they were trying to protect one of their own members rather than these young boys,” Viguerie said on Fox News.

The stridently conservative editorial page of The Washington Times joined the call, leading its pages Tuesday with the headline, “Quit, Hastert.”

Now it's ABC & the Dems fault. Really sad the lengths they're going to to blame everyone else but themselves...

Hastert blames ABC and the Dems
From your link:

""I'm deeply sorry that this has happened," Hastert said at a news conference in his Illinois district. "And the bottom line is that we're taking responsibility, because ultimately, as someone has said in Washington before: 'The buck stops here."

So where is Hastert blaming ABC?
