"Rosh HaShanah lasts for two days, the first and second of the Jewish month Tishri. These two days, along with the next eight, are known as the High Holy Days and the Yamin Nora’im, the Awesome Days. The last day of the Yamin Nora’im is Yom Kippur. Note that there are seven days between Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur. These relate to the seven years of trouble prophesied throughout the scriptures. Most Christians know this period as the “tribulation” while to most Jews it is the Chevlai shel Mashiach, the birthpains of the Messiah. Even as Rosh HaShanah is the beginning of the birthpains, so is Yom Kippur the conclusion. It is on this day that many believe that the Messiah will literally return to earth where His foot will touch down on the Mount of Olives, and He will enter the Holy city once again. In a future article some of these proofs of His second coming literally taking place on this day will be explored. In this article only the Temple ceremony of the High Priest going into the Holy of Holies and the ceremony of the two goats will be discussed......"

Book of Life kept in HEAVEN. It lists the names of the righteous. The belief in the existence of a heavenly ledger is alluded to several times in the Hebrew Bible. In the MISHNAH, AKIVA describes the heavenly book in which all human actions will be inscribed until the DAY OF JUDGEMENT.

Is it not in this book that the blood of Yeshua is dropped over the sins written therein, that have been repented of. Those that are still visable are those that have not been repented of. It is at this time of the year, that our hearts and minds should return to the courts of heaven and what has been transcribed of our life. May we all ask the Lord to open up our minds and ask the Lord at this time, before judgement day, to open up the book to our name and to reveal to us what is left unrepentent of, so that we may turn away from this sin and be washed clean from its unrighteousness.

There is a reason that this time is called the days of awe. For if we were granted the visual of the book before us and could read the things that we said, we do, we think, and the horrible conditions it has caused, we would not only be in awe but humbly ashamed.

Sanctification can be found in Yom Kippur. As the process by which God purifies the believer, sanctification’s first start in the believer’s new life is at the sacrificial death of Yeshua. Apostle Paul noted that God has chosen and reconciled us to Himself in Yeshua for the purpose of the final sanctification which is

Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Can't be without blame unless the book of our life has been thoroughly judged and we have been found worthy by the blood of Yeshua.

Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Titus 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Old Testament sacrifices did not take away sin, but they offered the symbolism of sanctification for the purifying of the flesh.

Hebrews 9:13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

The blood of the new covenant, however, goes far beyond this ritual on the purification of the body. It is where the reality of what Yeshua has done for you should not be cast aside or treated lightly. It is the most important aspect of sanctification in the heavenly sanctuary and your salvation.

Hebrews 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

IMHO, from my studies of type & shadow, and parallel.... i believe it was infact "Yom Kippor" (Tishri 10)... that was most likely the day inwhich Adam and Eve fell, and were expelled from the Garden of God.

I also tend to think it was on Yom Kippor inwhich Jesus began his ministry, formally.

As a concluding thought.. I tend to think exactly 6,000 years from the first Adam leaving the Garden of Eden on Yom Kippor.. I believe the last Adam (Christ) will make His Second Coming and soon Appearance on Tishri 10, as well.

I have reasons for each of these theories/arguments... but more later when I get the time.

On Elul 1(August or September - 6 months after Passover, which is
the first month of Abib or Nissan) begins the 30 days before the
Feast of Trumpets. The Feast of Trumpets is Tshri 1 (7th Month -
September or October - in the 7th month. Remember that Passover is
in Abib, or Nissan, the first month, according to God, new years day
is Nissan 1, or 15 days before Passover. The days of Teshuvah, or
days of Repentance, ends Tshri 10 - on Yom Kippur – The Day of
Atonement, (total of 40 days), which Rome paganized with their
substitute of lent preparing for the pagan feast of Estarte, the
pagan fertility goddess, aka Venus, or Aphrodite. This year Yom
Kippur, the Day of Atonement, is October 2, 2006. The 40 days of
Teshuvah, is a time of returning and repenting before The LORD.
During those 40 days, and especially the last 10, of which we are
NOW in the middle, lead to a climax on the LAST day of Yom Kippur,
the Day of Atonement. People who KNOW the Messiah should recognize
how important it is to observe this feast of the Lord. The people of
God should have ears to hear His call, to His people, to prepare our
heart by seeking His grace in forgiveness, through repentance. The
last 10 days - the 10 days starting with the Feast of Trumpets and
ending with the Day of Atonement, or Yom Kippur, are known as the
Days of Awe. How very awesome they do seem this year.

The FEAST OF TRUMPETS (Rosh HaShanah or Yom Teruach) is a biblical
feast of the Lord, which one may find in Num 29 and Lev 23, that
begins on the first day of the seventh month, Tishri 1, this year
September 23, 2006. Rosh Hashanah means "head of the year."
According to Jewish tradition, on this day the gates of heaven are
opened, (Rev 3:7-11). Tradition has it as the anniversary of the
creation of the world, and the beginning of the Kingdom of HaShem
(God), Adam and Eve were created, the flood waters dried up, Enoch
was taken by the LORD; Sarah, Rachel, and Samuel were conceived,
Joseph was freed from prison by Pharaoh, forced labor of Hebrews in
Egypt ended, Job contracted leprosy, the start of sacrifices on the
altar built by Ezra, all according to facts or tradition occurred on
this day, the Feast of Trumpets, the first day of the seventh month
of Tishri.

There is also the aspect of the coming of the Day of Atonement and the need for repentance. Feast of Trumpets marks the beginning of a ten day countdown to the Day of Atonement. Because the Day of Atonement is judgment day, the trumpet is sounded as a reminder that judgment is very near and the time for repentance is short.

Ezekiel 18:30 Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.
and
Joel 2:13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.
Many have heard this verse over and over again, but this time read it with the understanding the kingdom of heaven is truly at hand. We are at the door of eternity. We are soon to be at the end of this earth’s history. We are soon to see Yeshua come in the clouds of glory with all of the Heavenly Host with Him.

Matthew 3:2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Have you learned what Yeshua meant by learning the difference between mercy and sacrifice. Many have sacrificed their whole lives, living the cloistered life, the celibate life, and did all these works in the name of their religion but have never come to Yeshua, though they call out His name often. They sing His name, they pray His name, and they worship any image they have of Him. They do not live the repentant life where in they are under the sanctifying influence of the Holy Spirit, and will follow Yeshua where ever He leads, even if it is away from what they thought was truth.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
This is why studying the Bible to see if it is so, and praying for godly direction for the believer to walk in is so important in your relationship with God and men.

Matthew 9:13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Yom Kippur-day of fastingLeviticus 16:29-31
"This is to be a lasting ordinance for you: On the tenth day of the seventh month you must deny yourselves and not do any workwhether native-born or an alien living among you- 30 because on this day atonement will be made for you, to cleanse you. Then, before the LORD, you will be clean from all your sins. It is a sabbath of rest, and you must deny yourselves;"
Tomorrow our nation gonna fast to get forgivness to this year..but as believers in Yeshua [Jesus Christ] , we know that we got it by His precious blood, on free... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They believe they can get the forgivness without His precious and holy blood...
Plz, join with us to this day of fasting and prayers, especially for our nation, Israel
If you will not fast, just join with us prayers...they are needed!!
According to the Talmud [Oral Law, the the messianic jewish didn't accept it, duh..] God opens three books on the first day of the year; one for the thoroughly wicked, another for the thoroughly pious, and the third for the large intermediate class. The fate of the thoroughly wicked and the thoroughly pious is determined on the spot; the destiny of the intermediate class is suspended until Yom Kippur, when the fate of everyone is sealed
BUT!!! as believers in Yeshua, we know that God seald our names in the book of life and will NEVER delete us from there...amen?
Oh Yea, AMEN!
Love ya'll,
Haya.
