Good question. I was living in India at the time. So probably a great Indian actor like Mohan Lal from Southern India. Frankly I couldn't care less about Hollywood at that time. My favourite movies were all acted by Indian actors as a child.

It was only in the late 90's that I began to get into Hollywood movies. Tom Hanks probably got the ball rolling with his stunning acting in the not so greatly titled, Saving Private Ryan.

Burt Reynolds was my first favourite actor at first, then Roger Moore soon after that..... Until Arnie arrived on the scene with Terminator, the best movie every made.

As a kid, I loved The Sands of Iwo Jima, True Grit, The Flying Tigers, The Fighting Seabees, Stagecoach, Hondo, Rio Bravo...

Tim Considine who played Spin Evans on Disney's Adventures Of Spin And Marty, which was on The Mickey Mouse Club. I had a serious crush on him,LOL!
